What are the dirtiest programs in NCAA history?

I can't wait to see how the LA homer is going to even try to argue that Wooden was clean. Before Gilbert, Wooden was famous only for being Pete Newell's b*tch.

Wooden was dirty because a booster was a loser?

It's well known wooden knew who he was and tried to keep players away from him.

A simple google search of John Wooden and cheat links a great article about the situation from espn.

This board thinks it has like inside information about Gilbert that has been unknown for years.

It's not a new story but people act like wooden and Gilbert were friends and meeting behind closed doors.

Wooden hated the guy. And I am sure no other programs during the era had boosters who took care of players.

All colleges have boosters that cheat. You guys hinestly just hate wooden and act as jf e was complicit. He clearly benefited but a lot was coaching too.

You didn't refute a single point from the post you "lol'd at."

Wooden knew exactly why he suddenly started getting insane recruiting classes, yet didn't report a damn thing. Wonder why that is?

SMU's corruption ran all the way up to Texas's governor, didn't it?

It's SMU and it's not close i guess from actual evidence.

It's just more enjoyable for the idiots on this board to say wooden as if they have some inside information.

Linking Bonds and Wooden is a joke.

The same coaching that won him exactly nothing in his first 15 years on the job?

Won nothing? Have u even read his history prior to ucla or his first several years at ucla?

I know you haven't or you wouldn't have written this garbage.

Here is the response...oh he had a losing record to Pete Newell...who is recognized as one of the all time greats whose career was it short.

That's not even an argument. It's just twisting reality and not knowing anything abkht wooden but what u want to be the truth.

Can you please tell me his biggest accomplishment in his first 17 years as a coach? Before he suddenly reeled off 10 titles in his last 12?

I'm not google. You can look it up. Either way it won't impress you so I won't waste my time.

Because the only thing that impresses you mr. Message board genius is apparently NCAA titles. No other successes.

Other successes like finishing second in the NAIA? Making the Sweet Sixteen a couple times?

Well that's not even true but I won't correct you. You have no interest in actual facts.

Okay, well you can just let me know if any of these actual facts are incorrect.

Wooden 1948-1963
15 seasons
5 tourney appearances
1 Final Four
0 national titles

Wooden 1963-1975
12 seasons
11 tourney appearances
11 Final Fours
10 national titles

A guy who won a national championship as a player, college player of the year and an NBA scoring champion knew zero about the game apparently.

It's all due to a booster. I got it. Thanks for clearing this up for me.

They won their conference two years before he got there, and he turned them around to do the exact same thing. Good for him.

So if I'm reading this right, you're saying that Wooden going from 1 tourney appearance every 3 years to 7 national titles in a row was just due to him suddenly maturing as a coach at age 53? It didn't have much to do with the future NBA MVPs they suddenly started pulling in?

Oh, I didn't realize that Isiah Thomas's career accomplishments automatically made him an excellent coach.

Someone should tell all the teams that fired him.

I feel like I am talking to piers Morgan.

With all due respect you are too stupid for me to further debate.

All the best.

With all due respect, someone who can't click a plainly labeled "Quote" button without ****ing it up shouldn't be talking about stupidity.

Please don't procreate.
