What are your odds on Cooper and Gerald playing Saturday

Cooper had a hernia surgery and we keep this stupid gamesmanship or lying about status every week. Get him healed and be honest about status, more important stuff than football, especially since we’re not sniffing the playoff or even the division this year. Hopefully this situation has taught our coaching staff a lesson about why you need an offensive line and to not be lazy in the portal and recruiting.

Agreed....these "game time decisions" are blatant lying and they're stupid. If you're a "game time decision" 3 weeks in a row.....there's some trainers that need to be fired.

Why does coach need to give status in advance. Just because you want to know.

Ok. What are you going to do with the information? Other than game plan for the other team. Or........it affects your bet on the game. Both of those are inconsequential to the head coach. He should just say "None of your business." and move on to the next question.

I understand if your player status is unknown and you say you are not sure if they will be ready, when you plan on playing them. But to say they a player is ready when they are not, having the other team prep harder than they what they will face, seems counterproductive.

He doesn’t and I’m not asking for that, just stop the gamesmanship (or lying if we’re being more direct about it) and stop pretending he might go when the staff knows it’s not happening.

He should but he didn’t. We keep saying it’s a game time decision to play games vs the other team when it’s not. Just don’t give any updates or tell the truth. “Cooper underwent a major surgery and we care about our guys and only play them at 100%. He’s not going until then and we’ll announce only then”. Not that hard.

At this point does it effect the defensive strategy or scheme of an opponent if the center plays or not?

If it was up to me, Cooper would sit another week. He will surely be needed in a couple of weeks. Another week of healing and rehab cannot hurt.

They’ve done a damn good job in both considering the 1) scholarship limits they’ve been under and 2) having the NCAA bowl ban hanging over them since they came in.
