What Bowl Bid Does Tennessee Realistically Receive?

I have a feeling Jacksonville will sell out to get the Vols. Just not sure about the opponent.
Other bowls who would take us are Music City, Mayo, and Liberty.

Mayo may try to sell UT vs UNC.

Looking like the battle of Orange in Duval. Tennessee vs. Clemson in gator bowl. Vols offense against tigers D.
I’m telling you, that will not end well. Venables is a master, given a month to prepare. With the athletes they have and his acumen, it will likely be a repeat of UGA/Bama defense against Vols’ offense. They have found a couple running backs and receivers, too.
Plus, their obnoxious bandwagon fans are still talking about the Peach Bowl win over UT 🙄

I'd be really surprised if Tennessee doesn't go to a Florida bowl. If Alabama beats Georgia, the SEC puts two teams in the playoff and Ole Miss goes to the Sugar Bowl. Texas A&M mounting a comeback right here would also give them a NY6 bowl if that were to happen, leaving Arkansas/Kentucky/Tennessee/State to fill out the three Florida bowls plus the Texas bowl.

I just don't see Tennessee dropping in the pecking order to Nashville or Charlotte after how this season shook out.

We throttled the Cocks. 🤣
I don't look at who we beat that another team doesn't beat or doesn't score as much as UT did

All I know is I'm looking at the game and Clemson D is looking pretty good.

ETA:Not saying I'd want a cupcake team or that we'll lose, I just don't think it would be a cakewalk beating Clemson. Especially with a month of rest, practice and game film

Jacksonville, Nashville or Charlotte is likely.

Going up against Clemson, NC state, UVA, Miami, Wake Forest or UNC
OR
Penn St, Mich St, Wisconsin, Purdue or Minnesota

Would prefer Gator Bowl but Music City vs. Penn State - matchup of two 7-5 teams could be attractive. Penn State lost some really close games and could have won 10 with better luck. Gator might also try to package that matchup.

Does the SEC split the bowl money equally?
