What Bowl Bid Does Tennessee Realistically Receive?

Pittsburgh vs Oregon in the Holiday Bowl seems like a low bowl for both teams

A&M losing kinda shakes things up a bit. Probably bumps KY to the Citrus, which would open up the Outback. Still think Arkansas would be the choice, but not out of the question that Tennessee could sneak into it.

I’m less concerned about bowl than I am the opponent. I want a team that gives us some recruiting cache when we beat them, either because of its name or because of its geography. For that reason, I’d prefer North Carolina or Penn State. Clemson wouldn’t appear to be an option anymore, otherwise, I’d include them. NC State would also be in there, but below the above-mentioned in preference.

No to any cold weather bowl. Those bowls are good for sitting home by the fire. Florida or bust.

From what I’ve heard this is going to come down to UT and Kentucky for the Taxslayer Gator bowl. Being that we beat Kentucky on the road and finished the season stronger than they did, I say UT goes back to the Gator bowl. UT will travel better than UK and generate more money.

UK is a better fit for the Music City bowl. It’s also not unprecedented for Music City to take an 8 win SEC team, even a ranked team sometimes.

So Gator is my guess, against Wisconsin, Minnesota, or Purdue….outside chance of Clemson or NC State as well. I do not want the Dukes Mayo Bowl.

Truth be told my ideal matchup would be to play Wisconsin or Clemson.🤞🏻

If thats true I think we would get the Gator...UK went there last year and bowls are sometimes reluctant to take same team...UK fans would travel to Nashville more...think Cats deserve a better bowl though they are like 4th in SEC...If UGA and Bama get into CFP that puts Ole Miss in the Sugar so don't see how UK at 9-3 aren't taken by Citrus or Outback

In the winter time though? I think FL would be more appealing. I think the players rather play in FL also.
I'll watch whatever Bowl they make but I think the players rather go to FL instead of Nashville
