What did you have for dinner II?

Learned something new today! I'll be making peposo if it ever gets cool again.

It’s really good in the fall/winter. But I’m in northern Vermont for work, so it’s only around 75-80 degrees right now haha.

I threw 8-10 garlic cloves in with the olive oil when I braised the beef. Added a can of tomato paste, thyme and rosemary to the Chianti. The last time I made it, it was missing something and that made it a lot better.

Do you use an entire bottle of Chianti? The recipe I read made that seem like a Thing.

I’ve gotten to where I use sprigs of rosemary and thyme for just about everything.

Yeah, it calls for a whole bottle. I don’t use anything fancy, just a $12-$15 bottle. It reduces down nicely while it simmers.

Older couple at church wanted us to come over after church. They'd brought my wife fresh blueberries the other day, and wanted us to come get more stuff. She also wanted to feed us, so she had a meal. She cooked a whole turkey, with stuffing, macaroni, slaw, and gravy. We ate early, but she made us take a bunch home that we'll eat again later.

That was really nice of them, and sounds like a wonderful meal as well. I had Salisbury steak, au gratin potatoes and green beans for supper.
