What did you have for dinner II?

I made a power bowl. I had something like this at a restaurant a few weeks ago and realized I could easily make it at home for much cheaper.

1/4 cup quinoa, 1/2 cup black beans topped with pico, 3 oz. grilled chicken, 1/2 an avocado, 1 cup chopped, cooked kale w/ garlic.

It was delicious. Probably a little too much avocado & quinoa. Maybe need a bit more chicken. The amount of beans and kale was perfect.

Yum!

How ya liking that Blackstone? I've been tempted but not been able to convince myself it's worth it. Relative I know.

I could see it rocking for breakfast and Japanese, and sandwiches and such.
So far I love it. Smash burgers are great imo.
The cheese steaks are the best I've ever made. Got breakfast, fajitas, and Japanese on the docket next. The best thing I have made were those tacos on the first run with it though. They were absolute fire.

Today is the first time I've noticed myself getting overheated cooking on it. It's super muggy today. But you don't end up standing there long. Stuff cooks fast.

Gotcha. Basically a big @ss skillet that self drains. I can see it being awesome for the things you mentioned! Always thought it'd be cool to cook on one of those flat tops at waffle house or a Japanese restaurant. Just not a good enough fighter to apply at WH. Lol

Been on my radar for a while but since I recently convinced my wife to get the pellet I think my chances of survival are greater if I let suggesting a flat top simmer a bit longer.

Well you got to be super hard to work at the Waffle House.

I'm lucky that Mrs HateSteve supports my grill habit. A flat top is pretty reasonable though. It's not like a buying Kamado thankfully.

Lol!

Yeah, those are insane expensive!

Wife definitely supports my habit too. Convinced her to get the pellet for mother's/father's day by promising her a butt on mother's day. Lol. Just know things are too tight at the moment.
