What did you have for dinner II?

Ok, that sounds amazing. Now I gotta up my chili game.
I started with this, but played around with it, of course. I used a small poblano instead of the jalapeño, b/c I was cooking for people like me who want a ton of flavor but can’t handle heat. I used a vegan Dutch cocoa powder instead of whatever chocolate she used, in the unlikely event that my dairy/egg allergy older grandson wanted to try it (he didn’t.) What else… I used a jarred chipotle in adobo sauce (a pox on the cans!) with already-diced chipotles. Plus the usual piddling around with the veggies and the browning of the chuck chunks. Oh, and use the biggest Dutch oven you can find. It makes a LOT!

Anyway, it’s a starting point:
Beef Chili with Cinnamon & Chocolate - Kate Battiselli

Thank you very much. I'll play around with it, start by making a half batch since there's only two of us and see what I need to tweak to suit our taste. And someday the older grandson will regret not having a bowl of this chili!

You gotta Fuji House that thing up! I know you know what I'm talking bout

Edit: Got a good shrimp sauce recipe!
Mrs HateSteve did teppanyaki over the weekend. Need to try it again though. When they say "day old rice" the mean it. Was a little clumpy where we just made the rice that morning.

I could use a good shrimp sauce recipe. Still trying to get the method down on "Japanese Food".
