What did you have for dinner II?

it's that time of year when the tomatoes are awesome good so my favorite summertime meal was for lunch

thick cut market style bacon, Cherokee purple tomatoes, lettuce on toasted sour dough bread smothered with buttermilk ranch dressing....great with just a side of chips and iced tea.

Fish tacos with grilled cod dusted with cumin, oregano, paprika, and garlic powder. We didn’t do the traditional cabbage/crema slaw thing, so just sour cream, lettuce, and backyard layers maters

Edit: damn phone. No hens were sacrificed for this meal!

Grilled fish tacos always remind me of my visit to Coronado. I’m walking along a street and catch the eye of two young women at the edge of a backyard. I wave, they briefly confer, and wave for me to join them. It’s a house party. As I’m escorted into the backyard, a beer is placed in my hand. A man at a grill assembles a taco of grilled fish, marinated onions, and lime yogurt sauce for me. I’m welcomed by all present and treated as if a long-time neighbor. I lingered for awhile before thanking them and continuing on to meet my brother and sister-in-law.

Very. I miss the vibe of the old location. It was a total hole in the wall. The new owners have gone more up scale with the new building. But the chicken is still great.

Oh,did they open the new location near the mall? To echo @JCHateSteve ,it's the best chicken I've had anywhere, Kingsport or not. Their burgers aren't too shabby either.

Edit: Couldn't describe it better lol.... The original place is also near the mall.
