I was reading some of the posts and was wondering if a portion of the fan base actually knows what brick by brick means. You can not take a team that has been stripped of it's big offensive play makers and win with the schedule the Vols had this season. Good grief, I don't think Alabama or any other college would have made it through this schedule without a couple of losses. Brick by brick means one piece at a time, but the way a lot of fans are talking they expect the house Jones is building to be completed in a season. Fans also need to remember that the qb is a freshman, he is right out of high school and they expect him to be playing like a elite. It's just amazing how a portion of the fan base has come unhinged. Even if a coach like "Gruden" did come to UT, he wouldn't be here a year before fans would be screaming for his head on a stick.

you sure can't build a house, but can you brick a vandy team that has lost its entire starting D backfield?

One brick at a time? I beg to differ. I've seen Mexican masons lay several at once, with headlights on.

But you've got to know how to mix the concrete. You know the stuff that holds the bricks together.

Its a derogatory statement towards Mexicans.

Negative. If i'm building a brick house, my crew will be Mexicans. Those guys take pride in their work in the most austere conditions. Don't want some white dude whining because he needs a break or it's too cold.

you actually don't want bricks being laid in real cold weather. the mortar will freeze, and start falling out. great way to get a lawsuit put on the contractor.
