What does brick by brick mean

I was reading some of the posts and was wondering if a portion of the fan base actually knows what brick by brick means. You can not take a team that has been stripped of it's big offensive play makers and win with the schedule the Vols had this season. Good grief, I don't think Alabama or any other college would have made it through this schedule without a couple of losses. Brick by brick means one piece at a time, but the way a lot of fans are talking they expect the house Jones is building to be completed in a season. Fans also need to remember that the qb is a freshman, he is right out of high school and they expect him to be playing like a elite. It's just amazing how a portion of the fan base has come unhinged. Even if a coach like "Gruden" did come to UT, he wouldn't be here a year before fans would be screaming for his head on a stick.

Brick by brick means laying a solid foundation, one piece at a time, so that the entire structure will be sound and will endure.

They need to start with taking the black stripes off all helmets. That would be a positive start.

I agree. The stripes are stupid let them earn getting them not taking them off. It's degrading. And let them wear long sleeves in 30 degree weather at night games!!!
