110%.
If he and Martinez aren't, it tells me we have not learned a damn thing. He has to make a change.
I've been saying from week 3 our DBs have no idea what they are doing. That's not lack of talent, that's trash coaching.
I’ve been saying we need better athletes for a couple days now but people have got it in their heads that half of the defensive staff needs to be fired. Not even a week ago these same people thought we were the team to beat for the college football playoff…When you have corners who cannot run with sec receivers coaching doesn’t matter. They said it going in to the season that our dbs were not sec caliber. They lack the speed and athleticism to play in the sec. It’s hard to lay blame on the coaches when Warren Burrell is by far the most athletic db on your roster…

I agree our talent is not up to par. But teaching them to turn their heads and lining up 10 yards off the ball all game has nothing to do with speed
There could be some validity in your cousin's view. I have a cousin whose neighbor's wife has a twice removed 3rd cousin who watched the game and believes that the Gamecocks showed up better prepared, more motivated, and just handed us an azz whoopin! In simple terms, he said we were outcoached and outplayed.I think my cousin (UGA fan) nailed it. Heupel is Mark Richt 2.0. He's going to win us games against elite teams and then lose to nobodies when it matters most.
If he has already agreed to an under the table deal to go to the NFL then it would explain last night...
3 and less than 5. All game. 10 yards off. Nope. I disagree. On the contrary, lining up 10 yards off the ball has everything to do with a lack of speed. When the corner is that far off the receiver everyone in the stadium knows the reason why, and it is because he is to slow and the dc is afraid he will get beat deep.
Even Doug Matthews said something similar Sunday. Honestly i would of liked to see if they could just run by them at some point. We already knew they could hit the guy sitting down in the charmin soft zone. I mean i guess they could of scored on that one other possession, i mean oh well.I agree our talent is not up to par.
