What if Heupel is gone

There’s no reason other than a instinct to assume the worst that would suggest this is happening. Besides there’s no desirable NFL jobs open. He’s not leaving, let’s not make a bad weekend needlessly worse by farcical worries

Why? It seems to be what a good percentage on here live for. At least those who decided to come out of the woodwork today.

I think my cousin (UGA fan) nailed it. Heupel is Mark Richt 2.0. He's going to win us games against elite teams and then lose to nobodies when it matters most.

I'd honestly be ok with that for a few years if it's consistent . We could either plug in new players immediately and keep truckin along, or we could backslide on our backside next year. I'd be very content if we were to play competitively going forward.

Some of the threads border on the Stephen King fiction level. Or Freddie Kruger ( aka Jon Gruden/Kiffin ) level

No it wouldn't - not unless he has already told the players. Even if (don't see it happening) it were the case, he likely would not let it out until the regular season was finished, so it shouldn't have had any effect on last night's game.

Who in the NFL even has an opening right now? Indy? any other team? You think the Colts hired Heupel?

I think two weeks in and the Colts are ecstatic about the interim coach

Kingsbury developed NFL QBs at UofH, A&M and Texas Tech (although Mayfield transferred to OU because he couldn't beat out Mahomes).
Remind me again what his career record was at Texas Tech? Conference record included. I’ll wait.

Seriously, do they forget Phil lost to Memphis with Peyton as his QB? Every coach has these games but the important thing is the CJH has at this point done what we haven't seen since our last great coach so designating him as "Richt" or anyone is a little unfair until we see what the results are with a full roster.
Phil didn’t get beat by 30 by Memphis though
