What is CBJ feeding these recruits?

Butch is a Jedi-Knight.
To get Malone with little to no promise of stellar quarterback play is amazing.

Butch is just sharing his love and faith in Tn. with them. It makes it a very easy sell.

I think it really is the chance to be a part of something special. This class is going to play a huge role in this program from year 1! These kids won't have to wait there turn to play or be leaders on the team. It's sad that how far we've dropped under Dooley but it's exciting to see a group coming together that want to change the recent culture of the program.

I haven't followed recruiting in the past nearly as close as I have this year. I know social media hasn't been around for too awful long, but is it normal how much our current commits are recruiting for us? I see tweet after tweet of current commits recruiting for us. They seem to be doing as good a job as our coaches. Is this normal or is this class just that special?

Yeah, that's typical. High school kids are going to try to get their buddies and guys they see at camps that can play to come play where they are playing. There was a domino affect when Peyton Manning committed.

Let's hope whatever butch is feeding these guys, he's not doing it in backyard BBQs with high school juniors while posing for pictures...oh wait wrong sport :)
I have a question. How is it that Bruce Pearl got in trouble for having a BBQ but CBJ hasn't gotten in trouble for inviting players to his house for supper?

I'm just curious...

What is Butch and Co telling these recruits to get them to commit above and beyond these other offers they are getting?

I mean, I understand the process, but they are absolutely blowing it up!

...aren't you?

Feeding em...Tennessee Pride... the finest around.

"I've known for months. I've known for a while, "Mosley explained. "I just wanted to make sure I was doing the right thing. I started liking Auburn some, but I have no doubts about my decision. I know I want to go to Tennessee and be a Tennessee Vol."

"What everybody doesn't know is I committed a few weeks ago," Mosley said. "Coach Jones asked my parents if they would be good with me going to Tennessee and they said, yes and that they trust him so I committed.

"I came down to Knoxville and being with the players and they wanted me there, not just the coaches, but the players wanted me there and they wanted me to come in and help them get Tennessee back to where it belongs," Mosley explained. "Like Tiny, me and him talked and he just told me that losing isn't what Tennessee does and he believed that the class we have coming in is something special. They welcomed me. That's a feeling I didn't get anywhere else. That was just a big key-point for me."

"It's going to mean a whole lot. Coach Jones told us at the junior day when we were all there and with the Berry twins, he pulled us in the room and said, 'If Tennessee is going to win we're going to do it with instate talent. That's how we're going to do it.' That's what he wants to win with and he's emphasized that the whole time."

Knoxville is a special place. I haven't lived there for over seven years now but I miss it. There's a reason a lot of former players who aren't even from the area originally stick around if they don't go pro. There's something about it....

Boy how everything changes in two weeks. Remember how this was the worst staff anywhere? I saw a post how long of a leash does Butch have. I just cant wait till we loose our first game next year and all the, these guys cant coach posts start all over again.
Guys we have the right coaches in place please just let them do their job and rebuild this program.

It takes time. Dooley could neither coach nor recruit. what we know about CBJ is that he can recruit, but we dont know if he and his staff can effectively coach an SEC team. We need more games to see that.

I'm sure a big part is playing time. I'm sure he is saying you can play early and often at Tennessee.
