South Carolina- We will come ready to play. Milton and the offense will tear South Carolinas awful defense apart. We will get the run game going early and Joe Milton will have plenty of opportunities for big plays. South Carolina also seems to have pretty much no offensive line, I expect our d-line to rattle rattler pretty good. Everyone seems ready to throw in the towel for this game but I see us winning big, 52-24.
Texas A&M- A&M looked like a much better team against Auburn than they were against Miami. On defense, we will probably have a tough time. A&M is pretty good at protecting the qb, which, as we saw against Florida, will lead to their offense having time to create holes in our weak secondary. On offense, the running game will have a slow start but once we can get the passing game going we will be able to run our offense just fine. I think we trail by a touchdown at the half but in the end our offense plays well enough to come out with a win after the bye week, 48-38
Alabama- Bama looks nothing like the team they were 3 years ago. Their offensive line is probably worse than USCjr’s, and they still look lost at qb. That being said, their running game is solid and I think that will keep them in this one. How we manage our running game will be a big factor for us as well. I think this is a toss up with the game being in Tuscaloosa, but I’m going to say that we win a fairly low scoring game, 28-24.
Kentucky- Kensucky is one of only three teams in the SEC that is still undefeated through 4 games. However, they have played one of the softest non-conference schedules I have ever seen and they struggled against Vandy and Eastern Kentucky. I’m not going to go too in depth on this one because we are going to blow them out of their own stadium. 49-13.

I know there are a lot of fair weather Tennessee “fans” here that have already given up after the one loss to Florida. Y’all are probably going to disagree with me, saying we are going to lose all 4, but get a grip. The secondary has improved a lot since last season, and the offense looked like itself again against UTSA. I think it is very possible that we go 4-0 in the next 4 games, and the sec as a whole looks very weak. I’m not saying it’s going to happen, but if we can win these 4 games, who knows how far we will go.
We are not losing all 4. We can win them all if we play to our best abilities. You got to bring confidence and focus. Play hard and have fun but play smart. GBO

Yeah and I don’t understand it. Thought the team responded well today for the most part. I get it’s UTSA but we played pretty sound overall.
I don't get fans who watch the game in denial and act like everything is perfectly fine. It is clear as day the playcalling is geared to masking Milton as much as possible. It's frustrating to watch us against lesser opponents have to revert to running our offense like this.

It's not going to work like this against quality opponents and that was shown to be true against Florida. You've got to hit the imtermediate throws. Its either screen or deep ball. I get we are supposedly a running team, but our defense is not good enough to win low scoring games. We need passing yards and TDs to compliment our ground game.

After seeing how bad TX A&M is at times, that may be a win, since it’s at home. However, KY looks pretty bad too.

Rattler seems too good for us to play shootout with and Joe is missing some of those open throws.

I think 2-2 with losses to Bama and SC.

If Joe, the offensive line, defensive backs don’t make a huge improvement, we could easily go 0-4. Joe doesn’t have the fortitude to play a whole game mistake free. He just can’t do it. He has stretches where he place great and then he plays a quarter and a half like he’s never seen a football. And another question…..how can your starting center warm up the last three games and say he’s not able to go. I would question Cooper’s willingness to play. I would think he would want to play his senior year but looking at him on the sideline, makes me wonder about his want to. If he doesn’t play next Saturday, I think we should just shelve him for good.

I think we as Vol fans, we’re looking through rose colored glasses before the season. This team is just not very good collectively. Go Vols.

4-0. Unless someone is a troll I don’t understand declaring your favorite team will absolutely lose before they’ve had a chance to play the game. And if I was constantly fuming and rooting against the quarterback who is clearly not going to be replaced anytime soon, I’d question whether it’s worth it to even follow the team anymore.

I pray if we are on a roll like we were in the first half today that Josh continues to go for the throat and doesn’t get conservative. It really kills the rhythm of the offense. Honestly if I’m Heupel after the debacle last year I’d hang 100 on Beamer to put him back in his place.
We aren’t hanging a hundred on anyone. This team is not that good.

2-2 or 1-3 is my best guess.

I detest Rattler but he is in the top 3 QBs in the SEC this season.

Bama and the Aggies will destroy the Vols offensive line given what we have seen so far. Vols have to have a clean game against both of teams and I don't think they have it in them.

Kentucky will always be Kentucky in my mind.

Joe Milton is just unimpressive as a QB. Evidently he has to try and run the play that is called no matter what the defense looks like. He can't check into something else. He seems to only know the run, pass to the sidelines to a WR and let him run or try a deep one once in a while. He shocked me with the shuttle pass and even one 15 yards downfield once in the game. He is what he is and we'll do the best we can with what he is. Were really not running any slants or screens sometimes the defense knows what is coming before we snap the ball. I am hoping for 2 and 2 don't really see us doing better.

I think we do good to get to 5 and 3 but I am hoping for 6 and 2. 4 and 4 is highly likely hopefully nothing worse.

Bama is horrible, but it’s on the road. The toss up game will be A&M. If the 1st half team plays the whole game we will be fine against South Carolina
Milton has to do better at hitting his receivers down field and our WR's have not looked great this year. There's been too many drops & miscommunication/wrong route running. I don't understand why we aren't airing the ball out like last year! Milton has the arm for it and we have burners that run sub 4.3 on our roster. With Thornton and squirrel White, we should be airing it out every down and letting them run the ball down.

Yep. They will still go 10-2 or better.

If Mays can come back and help be an anchor with the oline play, I feel like it will tremendously help the play calling and Milton to get the offense going. I voted 2-2 because I have absolutely zero faith in the dbs. The defense drives me crazy with lack of coverage and tackling skills needed by the secondary positions.

Bama is never 'horrible'. I would say Vandy is probably horrible, but that's about it in the SEC.

I voted 3-1. But 4-0 is not unthinkable of course this is the SEC 1-3 is possible. There is quality athletes on every team

For Mays, I expect it to be a game time decision for SCarolina.
Then the following week against Open Date, he should definitely play.
But it still could be a non game time decision. 😙😜😩
