What is really going on with Trump's taxes?

No, nothing dealing with tax returns... basically, your post just reiterated what I had already told you.

You have no experience with tax returns, but are babbling on about trump reporting taxable income losses to the irs? Jesus man. He is a real estate mogul, that is what they do.

C corps hide a lot of the losses for individuals because they are separate legal / taxable entity. Jeff Bezos would of reported huge losses the first 5 years if Amazon was a partnership or llc.

I take it you didn't like the joke. Must have struck a nerve with you.
The MAGA faithful are always sensitive but today they are uber-sensitive due to Trump being outed as a fraud and a fake. I wish I could spend more time here today, I'm getting a huge kick out out of the Trump supporters trying to rationalize the fact that he lost more money than almost any other American over a 10 year span.

Per The New York Times, from the years of 1985-1994, Donald Trump reported more money in losses to the IRS than literally any other American tax payer and he avoided paying anything in taxes to the IRS in 8 of those 10 years. His wealth was accumulated from inheritance and unpaid debt. His recognition as a great businessman is and has always been a myth. He lost more money than literally any other American during the time he was writing "The Art of the Deal" which touted his business acumen.

Lol

What did they report in 1995?

And everything you just posted is all fabricated.

Per The New York Times... it's not "almost".

I think to be fair to DJT, his wealth is due to a combination of inheritance, taking advantage of tax code and BK code as well as property appreciation, and making solid real estate purchases in Manhattan and SF....

He isnt what he makes himself out to be but he's not an idiot either..

A very reasonable post and I agree 100% with everything ... I think of Trump's success as being mostly very skilled and aggressive marketing of a brand over many years and I give him credit for that end of it, because it is important. He has had to sell himself to lending institutions (such as Deutsche Bank) and to Mark Burnett (the producer of The Apprentice) and NBC and most importantly to the American people and he did it very well. I also think he has done a lot of boasting over how his wealth was accumulated (and how much wealth he actually has) which is not true.

This is my understanding of where he made his money for the last 20 years or so. Licensing his name to products from steaks to golf courses has been very lucrative. And very smart. The international appeal to license his name will increase after politics.

He has done well with real estate (non golf course) appreciation, especially those properties in Manhattan and SF...

And much of the IP is overseas, which is definitely a smart strategy from a tax minimization perspective....

True (and he also took a bath with Trump Taj Mahal). He and his father saw the potential in Manhattan in the mid-70's when the city was in the toilet and other developers didn't. I'm not saying he hasn't made some great investments. I just think he has wildly exaggerated what he has.
