What is the next step toward a QB?

With the opinion that Bell, Heaps, and Scroggins are locks.

Who is most likely to "flip flop"?

Brunetti
Bray
Rees
Rettig
Hendrix
Bray

also, there were some rumblings about Paul Jones opening up his recruitment...especially now that Penn St. got a committment from Bolden

I would probably switch Brunetti and Hendrix, but otherwise I agree. JMO

That would be my priority/ranking.

Just thinking one of the ND guys would be easier to lure for the question asked... again, just guessing on my part.

I thought Hendrix was really hot on the Vols at one time.

Bray is gonna flop. You can book it. He may not come to UT, but he will not go to SDSU. Rees is the next most likely. Chaney and CLK are going to continue to press him hard. The #2 for ND is not the greatest spot to be in...

Is Bray just a name that has popped up, or were we on him before he committed?

Pretty sure it has happened before. I guess I don't know what you're basing this off of. The best quarterback in the class just signed with BYU so it happens. San Diego State is a private school with good academics and the kid is from California. I don't think he'll end up there but you have nothing to back up the statement that a 4* quarterback wouldn't go to SDST.

BYU's tradition is far superior to that of SDSU. They've had a history of putting QBs into the NFL. Also, Heaps is a Mormon, so it's no surprise that he's going there.

Maybe so but San Diego State is still a private school with good academics. The kid is from California. I agree he pry won't go there but I don't think it's impossible. They've gotten a fair amount of four star recruits in recent years.

They haven't signed a single Rivals 4* since 2005. They've also never signed a Rivals 4* QB.

well, I am pretty sure that it has never happened since rivals began the stars ranking in 2002.

Heaps is an entirely different situation due to the religious aspect.

Before rating systems they still could have gotten one of the better quarterbacks in the country. They've also had a couple of three star quarterbacks that were good in their time. I wasn't implying San Deigo State specifically. Just that there are schools of their caliber that get four star quarterbacks.

Also, let's not forget that they just got Ball State's coach. They finished with one loss was it? And he a coached a quarterback who left early for the draft. Ended up getting screwed over in the draft(lol) but still. It's not impossible that this kid wouldn't want to stay in state to go to private school and play for Hoke.

San Diego State has signed four star recruits though. They got two four star linemen in one class. I also think you guys are underestimating Hoke. Unlike our coach, he has actually been a head coach. This kid may very well want to play with a guy who turned Ball State around and coached Nate Davis.

SDSU is actually a public school and the academics are subpar. It's probably the biggest party school in CA. Also, no one goes to their games.

Yes, he has pretty much just popped up. The reason is that he didn't participate in any camps until about a month ago. Meanwhile, Scroggins, Rettig, and the rest were making names for themselves during the Spring. So far, Bray has won the MVP of the NUC in Cali, was the most impressive QB at USC's Rising Stars Camp, and this past weekend against the top 10 QBs in the nation, he won the Golden Arm Award and outperformed everybody there not named Jake Heaps...

So Bryce Brown sucks.... no offense but that is horrible logic.

I'm from Chattanooga but live in Miami. Chattanooga put out what 1 maybe 2 players per year. Pound for pound Florida puts out more top players than anywhere in the country. Just look at the list of players already committed to D-1 school. These kids are playing against top knotch high schools every week and is like college football not high school. If it was up to me, I would have Eddie Gran camp out here and sign as many Florida players as possible. You don't even need to leave the state as witness by Miami, Florida and Florida State. California athletes are soft!!

On another note, the vols better go after Teddy Bridgewater from Miami Northwestern High now as he might be the number#1 recruit in 2011 in any position. Better get after him now early because his offer list is building up fast!

We've offered Bridgewater. His current top 3 are UGA, UT, and Bama in that order.

I hope it's flip and not flop if he comes here.:)
