A party can name itself anything it wants. , but the goal of Communism is economic.

Economic policies are capitalism, socialism, communism, and the spectrum between them. Communists need radical politics to install their economic policies.

What you posted was the definition of the Communist Party of the USA.
Marxists want an economic system that's in line with their social agenda. Communism is manifestly political.

You have it backwards. Politicians can espouse communism, just like any stance they may take on guns, abortion, etc. Communism is not a type of government.. If it is, I spent two years in PoliSci for nothing. The end.

Here is a compromise:

Communism is primarily an economic system, but it also has significant political implications. Communism envisions a classless society with collective ownership of the means of production, distribution of goods based on need rather than market forces, and an absence of private property.

The political aspects of communism involve a centralized, authoritarian state that controls the economy and social structures. In communist systems, the state plays a dominant role in planning and directing the economy, with little room for private enterprise or free markets.

While communism has been implemented in various political systems, from Marxist-Leninist regimes to democratic socialist experiments, the economic dimension is considered the core of communist theory and practice. The goal of communism is to create a society where the means of production are owned collectively, and the distribution of goods and services is based on the principle of "from each according to his ability, to each according to his needs."

From Oxford:

Karl Marx, the 19th century father of communism, was outraged by the growing gap between rich and poor. He saw capitalism as an outmoded economic system that exploited workers, which would eventually rise against the rich because the poor were so unfairly treated. Marx thought that the economic system of communism would replace capitalism. Communism is based on principles meant to correct the problems caused by capitalism.

The most important principle of communism is that no private ownership of property should be allowed. Marx believed that private ownership encouraged greed and motivated people to knock out the competition, no matter what the consequences. Property should be shared, and the people should ultimately control the economy. The government should exercise the control in the name of the people, at least in the transition between capitalism and communism. The goals are to eliminate the gap between the rich and poor and bring about economic equality.

My pro any term (even post birth) abortion stance and my extreme racism being me dead center.

I don't know what I am and I don't really care. I try to hold non-contradictory views, but it is hard. Late teens I probably aligned nearly perfectly with conservatism. My 20s I skewed libertarian. My 30s has seen me back off pure libertarian utopianism in favor of conservatism again. I don't believe government should be involved in a lot of social issues, but I almost favor conservatism in a reactionary sense on social issues just because I find libertarians and liberals so ******* obnoxious.
