As a Florida fan, you probably just don't really realize that we've only been in this position a few times (2001 with Joey, 2007 with pre-injury Dixon)...we're all excited, but that doesn't excuse...idiocy

Very good post. It's an exciting time to be a Duck and yeah, some of us are hopeful for what the future may bring.

But when that leads to statements like Cliff Harris being better then Peterson or Newton being a joke....

I completely understand, hence the reason I find humbleness should be a must. You never know how long your run will last, so bashing everyone in the process is sort of shortsighted.

Seriously, read it and weep. You can't make this stuff up.

He's a good football player. But he is not a good quarterback & is nowhere near a heisman candidate. I don't care what his stats are, I've watched him play & would not want his as our QB. TE & DE? Sure.

Which is why I'm even more surprised at Newton getting all this kind of love. But I guess that's what happens when everyone in the SEC sucks except Alabama. You need to find some QB from the SEC who is doing pretty good and make him into some godly football player that he clearly isn't.
