What just happened?

I don't know if CCM is the answer.

But the dumbasses that think Bruce is coming back (or should come back) need to stop. It's embarrassing.

It's just amazing. It was fun while it lasted, but The guy landed us in a world of hurt with the NCAA. Wanting him back is like saying you want to get back together with a hot chick that broke up with you even though she has HIV.

I don't think he is, but i do wish he was. Call me a dumb ass all you want, but i enjoyed winning. I enjoyed the excitement he brought. He would bring that excitement back, imo. There is no excitement around tennessee basketball anymore. Apathy is quickly setting in.

Jesus Christ! The Martin Sunshine Pumpers in here are as bad as the Fulmer/Dooley lovers. It's not a horrible thing "wishing" Pearl were back- he was a proven winner. If you don't agree with them, then just disagree. No reason to insult folks, *******.

Let's wait till the season ends. People said the same thing last year.

I don't want him. He's radioactive, cares only about himself, and risked the program to cover his ass. He can stay away from UT. He did great things here. If it wasn't for David Blackburn, he probably would burned everything he did to the ground.

It has nothing to do with Martin. I don't care if Martin is fired.

Bruce can stay away the hell away from UT basketball.

And now I'm done talking about Bruce.

At least somebody gets it. I'll never understand the outcry to bring back a guy that torched our program to try and save his own skin.

I know one thing, we should have won that game period!!! This team is becoming harder to watch with every game, and I don't see any quick fixes in the very near future either.. Stokes played just plain bad today and they just looked like a complete mess on both sides of the ball!!!:bash:

Did we go to the NCAA tourney last year? No? ...Ok

You're talking about something different though. I think a lot of people "wish" Pearl was back and that he had showed better judgement. That's different though from actually wanting him hired back after what happened.

There's no other way to put it. You have to be brain dead to want Bruce Pearl back.

Why because he's the only person to ever make a mistake? Louisville fans don't seem to have a problem with Pitino and what he did was much worse then what Pearl did.

Did Pitino put the program on probation?

I am not responding to defend CCM and some if his decisions. But apathy sets in because the mentality we have in society these days. Facebook, twitter, Internet... We have it all instantly and people expect instant gratification. There is no such thing as a rebuilding job anymore. Even with an injury, people want results... and now. I can't change it and you can't change it... but society has lost patience. Kind of sad.

This does not pertain to our football program though. I gave Dooley this year but it was time to move on.

Actually . . . Pearl pretty much did that too. And nobody really cares if you do that . . . as long as you don't also lie to the NCAA and land the program on probation.

Once a liar always a liar. Hell, he got hit with another secondary "bump" violation within days after his "heartfelt" apology. Pearl only cares about Pearl.

Exactly. Wanting that excitement and success back that is often associated with Pearl is one thing, but mentioning Pearl coming back as even a remote possibility is just pure idiocy... plain and simple.

This is exactly why I hate the BK boards. There are a select few that think UT basketball knowledge starts and ends with them. If you disagree with them be prepared to be called an idiot, dumbass or worse.

While I agree with your sentiment, that's not happening in this thread.
