What other message boards are saying (Alabama pre game)

This is going to be a rough one for this team. The staff had better have some wrinkles for bama. The Vols are not just going to line up and run them over like we did against the weaker schools at the beginning of the year. If Nico can just get off some quick passes and keep the ball moving 3 to 5 yards a play and the O line not make mental mistakes we can win this game at home. If we keep playing like we have for the past few games, bama will walk away signing and smoking.

It's amazing how quickly yall have given up on Nico. He's a young player going through a slight slump. His talent hasn't depreciated. Just realize this is the worst he'll ever look.

Nico will play his best game thus far next Saturday as the offense explodes and runs Alabama out of the stadium.

Slight?

Didn’t you know….all great QBs start out great. They don’t develop over time, they just are. lol at some of our fans….who obviously have never played sports and have never been good at anything, much less elite, think

They need to stop running the RPO's if Nico is not going to take the run option. Reminds me of Justin Worley. This leaves him vulnerable on passing plays because he is too close to the line. Just drop back and throw the Mfkr so he can see who is coming and use his feet to escape. Its like buying a Maserati and installing a governor on the engine.

The sad part of that is, when Nico was going to take the ball and run with it, the ball was fumbled on the 1st drive.

It’s gonna be another horrible game for Nico. I he only hope we have is if Sampson and Bishop can take over and win it for us. I fully expect at least another INT or two from Nico and yet ANOTHER less than 200 yard passing game.

That’s what is so frustrating. If Nico relaxes just a bit and doesn’t try to make something out of nothing and takes care of the football, we could damn well run the table the remainder of the season. We are what we are, a running team with an elite defense. We don’t need heroics from the QB position with how this team is made up.

Strange how bama can blow out lower competition and then struggle and lose a game when it hits the sec schedule and some Vol fans claim they are a juggernaut!? Bama escaped at home against Georgia and South Carolina and lost on the road (home game) to Vandy.
Yep, we have a great shot at winning this game. They are not a juggernaut by any means.

My concern with Nico stems more from a recent history of California QB’s being overrated and not translating to CFB as well as others. So I'm generalizing and lumping him in with a host of QB’s. I don’t see California HS football being what it once was; GA has replaced Cali in the top 3 for talent IMO. What the south has done better than any other region is spit out big and athletic DL; exactly what he’s facing now and the game looks too fast today.
