All good in north AL so far today. I haven’t undecorated the car from the game yet and have made multiple errand runs today around town, just to get out and about and rub it in.As an Alabama resident, let me caution you not to have any Vol stickers or license plates on your vehicle unless you don't mind it getting keyed.
You're doing yourself a disservice. Great area. At the end of the day this is just football. I have a lot of friends & family who are Alabama fans.
Lived in alabama my entire life.....rep the vols! I got assigned to write "go vols" 1000 times by a teacher who was a bammer back in the mid 90s. As a kid, i repped the vols everyday in my orange windbreaker pants and Al Wilson jersey. I thought I was the ****!My son who is a senior in an Alabama High School is considering wearing UT gear tomorrow. I am cautioning him to be careful
Yes I do. Bama went two years vs. UT without getting a single holding call and they held almost every play. Bama DB's under Saban and in the UGA game this year, mugged WRs as they tried to run their routes. So, yeah, I believe it. Don't understand why you don't.Good lord you really believe this don’t you?
Keep that tinfoil hat on Alex Jones. I don’t believe it because I don’t dwell in fantasy land like you and some others. But you do you.Yes I do. They're easily the dumbest and most Homer fans in America. They still can't fathom that they will fall off a cliff like Miami, Nebraska, USC, Notre Dame, us, Florida, Texas all did for a prolonged period. Their fans don't realize how lucky they've been that they got two legends at the right time and somehow think that it'll happen again. For some reason their fans think those two coaches success was because they were Alabama and not because they were Bear Bryant or Nick Saban. It's highly, highly unlikely they'll ever get so lucky again.
They were thrilled with DeBoer. Their fans said there would be no drop off He was in the national title a year ago but he looked pretty awful to me with a very talented team. Any of us who knew Alabama and the culture there, knew that this guy would probably wish he was back in Seattle by 2026.
I hope they fall so far and never get back up. It couldn't happen to a better group.
That's fair. I think all these elite SEC jobs are really no better than the other and depending on the timing, it determines the quality of the gig. I think any great coach would have no problem winning at any of the top schools. I think it's even possible at South Carolina or Arkansas with a Saban or Urban Meyer type. Of course Alabama fans don't see it that way at all which is retarded, but that's why they're Alabama fans.To be honest, most teams successes are the coaches. All the good programs were built off a specific coach coming:
Barry Switzer at Oklahoma
Bob Neyland at Tennessee
Steve Spurrier at Florida
Joe Paterno at Penn State
Bobby Bowden at Florida State
etc.
Issue is that Alabama has gotten 2 of these coaches. The only program that has been consistently good and not had a drop off (even with coaching changes) has been Ohio State. Every other CFB team out there has been up and down at some point since I started watching College Football.

Florida was obviously a much better gig when Ray Goff was at Georgia and not Kirby Smart. UT is a great gig but not so great when Nick Saban just started at Alabama. Right now the Alabama job kinda sucks, and that'll be readily apparent if/when DeBoer fails there.
