What Other Message Boards Are Saying (Kent State Pre Game Edition)

Mickey Not so Scary time. Don't forget the Adult Dole Whip option at Polynesian's Pineapple Lanai . Oh and please tell Ichabod looking forward to seeing him next month.

We'll be at the Halloween party Sunday night. We're AP and DVC, so we go to the parks a lot. Arriving tomorrow night, Animal Kingdom Saturday and then watching the Vols Saturday night, Halloween party Sunday, Epcot for Food and Wine Monday, Hollywood Studios for my husband's 56th birthday Tuesday (birthday dinner at Narcoosee's) and then back home Wednesday!

And, yep, I'm a fan of that grown-up Dole Whip. :)

Jungle Cruise skipper Alum in college (You never forget the script by the way..I have fun when we take the ride..Jokes we did are definitely not politically correct)and my son works there at the Mouse now too. . Kids grew up in parks and now my grands turn. La cava del Tequill in Mexico fa nice spot as you already may know too.

Eventually it's just bad for business to play cupcakes. What makes the successful pro sports successful is parity and a story line.

Clark in the WNBA most recently. Bird and Magic. Air Jordan. Brady. Kelce Bros.

The high level college sports programs, to get to the next level (read: more $$$$,) need to work on marketing so there aren't "I'm not watching them kill another Noname U team" and toward each UT game having some meat, some interest beyond just the school's fanbase.

It's the entertainment business. To be successful it needs to be more interesting than...... what's the betting line now...... 50 points? C'mon.
So. You understand the business of sports management better than Randy, Donde and Danny. I’d say you oughtta submit yer resume to the AD. 🙄

Kent has a freshman and 2 sophomores on the interior offensive line.

I feel sorry for them. It's gonna be a rough day.
Thats kinda rough for them...you dont want young guys inside against this line. their center is the freshman BTW of the true flavor.

Halloween Party tomorrow, Friday the 13th! Then 4 park days with hopper, we’re staying at what has been the resort she always wanted to stay at Animal Kingdom Lodge!
You'll love Animal Kingdom Lodge! Every restaurant there is amazing. Love Jiko for fine dining, Sanaa for great food and incredible views and Boma for the best breakfast at Disney World. Have a great time. Maybe I'll see you in the parks. I'll be wearing orange on Saturday. :)

Remember you can get in at 4PM so I would be at gate at 3;45. The secret is staying late. The rides are wide open after fireworks. Would watch the second parade scheduled near the flagpole on main street on corner to see and get great video of headless horseman coming down main Street about 15 minutes before the parade starts. Check out the themed rides and see the haunted mansion Ghosts new this year in Frontierland.

playing #133 does nothing but hurt your sos, absolutely no value

The 12 teams that compete in the College Football Playoff are determined by the College Football Playoff Selection Committee. The selection committee chooses the 12 teams for the playoff based on strength of schedule, head-to-head results against common opponents, championships won and other factors
I mean everyone schedules these types of games, playing in the SEC you need a few cake walks where other guys get playing time and starters can rest up. Years back we needed these games to get bowl eligible, those times are gone hopefully forever 🤣 if we can get some wins vs OU, Florida, Bama or GA maybe go 10-2 it's not going to matter we played these type games

Definitely! My wife is all in on it and very Disney experienced. We’ve got a game plan and this isn’t our first Not So Scary Party. Tiana’s is also standby for the party.

Tennessee rushes for 300+ yards.
Tennessee’s defense pitches a shutout.
Freshmen not named Nico Iamaleava will account for at least three touchdowns.
DeSean Bishop will rush for at least 100 yards.
The Vols get a punt-return touchdown.
Tennessee breaks its single-game sack record.
At least three Tennessee running backs will have 75+ yards from scrimmage.
Tennessee’s defense will force at least three turnovers.

Yep that works for me too.. Can't wait until we are playing a 9 game SEC schedule. Eliminate FCS opponents. Play a quality schedule, that's all I want to see.
I agree with you. To be fair, the month before we scheduled Kent St, they'd just competed in their conference championship game. But 100% get what you are saying.

-Back on the road for part 2 of the 3 payday games. Tennessee is 2-0 and near a top 10 team at the time, not sure what the line is, wouldn’t be surprised to see us lose by 70+ as they won’t show the mercy Saban always showed at ‘Bama by stopping his scoring at 48.

-Tennessee is a lock to be in the 12-team playoff. And since they scored 69 against in-state Chattanooga last week, I doubt they will show much mercy. They want to climb the polls and fast.

-Hopefully, Coach gets to rotate everyone in the game in this slaughter.

-I am completely baffled that I bought 16 tickets to this game and am driving 6 hours each way to go watch us get hammered.

-Tennessee held NC State to 1.4 yards per carry, can you imagine what they’re going to do to our run game?

-Tennessee’s starters will exit after the 1st quarter, we are the absolute worst team in FCS.

-St. Francis pretty much dominated us yesterday, we don’t have a prayer going forward. What’s this trip to Knoxville paying for? A new recruiter.

-Dear God, please let Tennessee have mercy on us.

-Did y’all know that their qb has 525 yards passing through two games? He’ll have 1000 when they’re done with this elementary school secondary.

-This season is a lost cause already, maybe we can make a couple of good plays in Knoxville.
I do like the research.

Bold: I am also baffled.

OU defense is much better but NC State offense is better
NC State had an Oline. OU will be tough; I’m just not sure how they win if their Oline doesn’t improve. This conference is a LOS conference. If you don’t have talent and depth in the trenches you’re screwed. Of course in Norman I don’t expect them to roll over. If Nico makes some mistakes they will have a chance; if he has a decent game I think our dline dominates them.

Would love to see McCoy get a pick six. Dline has been great, he’s also been playing his ass off even though he doesn’t get a lot of praise. Gibson I think is getting there as well.

These games illustrate why the B1G and SEC should break away from the rest of college football and only play quality teams.

Kent State vs UT isn't good TV for most people and good TV leads to big TV deals.

It's arguable that Rutgers vs UT isn't good TV either but likely much better than Kent State for drawing eyeballs.

Schools need to treat football as the big business it is and maximize the schedule toward games that provide good TV entertainment.

There's a reason beyond just league issues why NFL teams don't schedule USFL teams. It would be really bad TV.
What's a Rutger? Never mind.
