What Other Message Boards Are Saying (Kentucky Edition)

Except other teams may still be using this to negatively recruit in the meantime and we are still self imposing scholarship limits etc.. If I were Donde I would be like y’all need to wrap this sh!t up, (which is also why I would not be very good in that position) 😂
I would have already told the NCAA to go frick themselves lol.

Kentucky fans have so much going against them vis-à-vis Tennessee and football in general:
  • Their team will never, ever reach the mountaintop—no division championships, no conference championships, and certainly no national championships.
  • Their team will always have an abysmal record against their most hated rival. Seriously, 82-26-9 is laughably lopsided.
  • I'm sure they've enjoyed our struggles over the past 15 years, but in the blink of an eye this season, we've achieved a level of national relevance and notoriety that they'd sell their sister-mom to replicate.
  • Despite our struggles, Kentucky's current head coach only has a 2-7 record against us. Yikes.
  • All of this is compounded by the fact that our basketball program is strong enough to win the SEC and beat them more than half the time under Barnes ... even though basketball is their sport. We've bitched about the lack of tournament wins, but Kentucky fans would absolutely kill if their football team could experience even a modicum of our basketball team's recent success. We're really good at their sport, and we get lots of national attention for it, but they're never going to be better than us at "our" sport.
I could go on, but when you put all of this stuff together, you get the kind of soul-crushing hatred that Kentucky fans feel for Tennessee. It's born of embarrassment and envy—pure and simple.

The all time record really points out how hopeless their situation with Tennessee is. They could win every game for many decades and not be close to overtaking it, and they know that isn’t going to happen.

I understand where you're coming from. Personally, I don't wish him harm, or perhaps I should say further harm. And, uh, what's said/done of Levis, can be said/done of Hooker. So I hope it's a clean game with us bathing them in lye soap, hanging them out on a clothesline, in a chilly night wind that snaps the line. Then blows the whole wash into the river for a rinsing. You know, just some fine Tennessee Volunteers hospitality, it being we are such nice folks and all.
To your point, isn't it BETTER that we beat Alabama with a healthy Bryce Young? I'd like to say the same about Levis on Sunday morning. Hit us with your best shot, and maybe Levis and Young can get with Woodsman Vol for some counseling. Probably better for them you are not degreed in that field.

Bro if it were a big game we would have on orange jersies white pants. You're not considered a rival
Every game is a big game the way Heupel coaches. Others talk about it but he's gotten his team to buy into the idea that each week is a season to itself. The goal is to go 1-0 each week.

So yeah, this is a big game. IMHO, the black uniforms would just as likely be an indicator that UT thought it needed some kind of extra motivation to get up for UK. They're deluding themselves if they think they're a bigger game for UT than Bama... other than simply being the next big game.

I read this today...
In nine plus seasons at Kentucky, Stoops has just two (2) wins vs SEC teams that finished with a winning record in league play (2018 Florida, 2017 South Carolina).

Let that sink in. They're Michigan light without the wins.
That's pretty amazing. Didn't know that. Where did that nugget come from?

I'm worried that the NCAA will surprise us and hit Tennessee pretty hard.
You shouldn't. The NCAA publicly praised UT for how it handled things. The Vols have already self-imposed penalties greater than the NCAA has handed out for similar infractions.

It should not be anything more than some form of probation and monitoring. I will be surprised if it is considering the NCAA's credibility with compliant and cooperative programs is 100% on the line.

awesome stat…I’m thankful to Vegas for those early lines and ESPN radio for creating the “closer than you think” vision for Kentucky betters Big money poured in on Vols not covering and the line dropped to-11.5 . I’m all over it with those thanks above 👆🏻

That guy is about to have his entire world come crumbling down on Saturday
Haha! I hadn’t seen that before you quoted it. We’re not playing a cupcake like Alabama this week. We better be shaking in our boots. The Philadelphia Eagles are marching into Neyland. 🙄

If I could give you a prize for getting the reference... I would. Beer is on me if we ever meet.
LOL, still listen to it on CD on occasion, and my 22 year old son would catch it too. I do some Everglades restoration stuff that has me in south Florida several times per year.

I’ve been reading wildcat lair some and holy crap, I thought our fans are crazy. They’re even more crazy.
Bro... I've been just scrolling through their board. They are hostile, rude, and bitter. The fact they think we even spare a thought and consider them any real rival on the level of uga Bama or FL is hilarious. They are absolutely delusional.

Weird to bring up basketball. Our program might as well not exist. Also, our football program, which is our pride and joy, doesn't hold a candle to their school's success in their main sport. We wish we could have blue blood status in something.

I know I said earlier, a week or so ago some where in this thread, for you cat fans to stop worrying about UT... Well it's Saturday, it's time for you to start worrying about us. It's time for your yearly beating.
