What Other Message Boards Are Saying (Kentucky Edition)

Good news we got 30 day extension to responding to the NCAA which means any sanctions almost certainly won't happen this year.
Except other teams may still be using this to negatively recruit in the meantime and we are still self imposing scholarship limits etc.. If I were Donde I would be like y’all need to wrap this sh!t up, (which is also why I would not be very good in that position) 😂

Yeah can you imagine the transfers that will happen if the NCAA hits Tennessee hard with bowl ban and scholarship reductions?

They really do need to wrap it though. I gotta believe what has been done is enough and we aren’t gonna get hammered, but I can understand why some parents and kids who maybe would normally love to come here might have some worries about the situation.

You can see from the threads about it here plenty of us still have fears, justified or not.

How many Tennessee fans would have showed up to a Liberty Bowl with a 3-7 Tennessee team?;):rolleyes:o_O
Exactly.. it was the perfect time to self impose a ban 😂 and it was actually current to the time in which everything took place… I could have already gestated a human, had them, and they would be potty trained and ready for pre-K by now

Fulmer self-bowl banned us from the kleenex bowl or something 😂 so that counts toward that 😂
In retrospect, only Fulmer and Pruitt really wanted to play in that bowl…errybody else checked out. Have to believe the higher ups nixed it. What muddies up using that as justification is that Fulmer explained it away as Covid related.

I don’t think they’ll dig that deep.. it’s been so long it would be hard to nit pick… they (NCAA) needed to address this much more quickly to have any validity

No. You have got to be kidding me. Negative Recruiting against Tennessee is not going to work at this time. In the past, yes, but not at this point. Completely different Set of Coaches and Culture as opposed to the negativity of the Past.

Oh I agree completely, but no I’m not kidding that other coaches at other schools ARE that dumb lol .. they don’t give two craps about the veracity of it all lol

Actually, Levis is pretty good. This season, he has been frequently harassed because his OL's inability to protect him. What you don't want to do is give him time because he's a good passer when that happens. He might get that time due to them having CRod back, to dampen our most effective defensive play, which is a relentless blitz. Our back end pass defense is a porous as a mesh ladle being used to serve tomato soup. That leaves our having to win simply because of our quick strike ability. We can't afford to let them force 3 and outs consistently. I know this post won't be poplar, but some folks know truth when it appears.
Levis, by the actual numbers, is an average QB with a habit of turning the ball over at the wrong time. He’s overly emotional, and gets himself into trouble because of it. So yeah, he’s a really good Kentucky QB.

Also…there’s no crying in football. The psychological testing he’ll undergo at the combine will hurt his draft stock. His highs and lows are too extreme for a franchise player. He is Ryan Leaf.

Well, I don't practice psychiatry as I'm not licensed for it, though I do hold a degree with a minor in rehabilitation counseling. And while you may be correct, I think he's far better than some o our Vols fans think. So I stand by my earlier post. Meanwhile:

No worries…you are entitled to your opinion on the matter.👍🏼

Hopefully Tennessee will injure that banged up shoulder he got during the Miss State game and knock him out of the game in the 1st half. Very possible with Kentucky's rotten offensive line.

I hope he plays the whole game. He’s likely to be generous with turnovers when we get pressure. Plus seeing him weep as the clock goes to 0:00 is a treat not to be missed.

I understand where you're coming from. Personally, I don't wish him harm, or perhaps I should say further harm. And, uh, what's said/done of Levis, can be said/done of Hooker. So I hope it's a clean game with us bathing them in lye soap, hanging them out on a clothesline, in a chilly night wind that snaps the line. Then blows the whole wash into the river for a rinsing. You know, just some fine Tennessee Volunteers hospitality, it being we are such nice folks and all.

I don't know how good he is. From what I understand, they have offensive line issues in pass protection, but I haven't really watched them. Dude does seem to throw interceptions eventually though.

It’s usually at really critical times too. It why I believe his emotional swings hurt his game. His numbers are pretty average, then you add in his propensity to throw a pick at the wrong time.

And then there is the crying….
