Bro try living here. I will hand it to them on basketball all day long but when it comes to football they are the dumbest fan base in the SEC. By a mile.

Pre-season many of the local media types were calling for them to win the SEC East. It was beyond ridiculous. Justin Rowland and Matt Jones are total nerds. Did they even play football beyond midget league?

What will be the UK Defensive game plan?

Are they running triple safety look and keep everything in front of them with pressure and give up the middle field ball

OR

Play to stop the run and man up zone?

What do the Mensa International, defensive-minded folks here say?

My guess is they will focus on stopping the explosive plays which will open up huge running lanes. The 2nd half they will adjust to stop the 200 yards rushing we already accumulated, and BOOM, we start bringing the rain!

Why can’t opposing defenses use like 5 or 6 cornerbacks against us and bench their safeties? I realize Kentucky, Mizzou, and Vandy probably don’t have enough. But why didn’t Saban try that instead of letting Hellams get beat deep like 4 times. Are they that worried about our run game?[/QUOTE]

Bama played nickel and then dime against us but I’m not sure of their personnel. If I were setting a D against us I would play my best three cover corners and run a combo man/zone and force Tn to play with the TEs and RBs catching underneath stuff.

Because CB and Safety are different positions with different technique and different responsibilities along with safeties typically being better at tackling
