What Other Message Boards Are Saying (Kentucky Edition)

I pointed this out to my son the other day. I just want someone to quantify their assertion with any tangible, numerical, statistical evidence. Can’t be done. It’s all fiction, fantasy. From Levis’ legendary prowess(??), to their astounding secondary, to their strength of schedule, to their superior talent and recruiting…none of what they are saying is even remotely true.

It’s seems like the entire state, or maybe just the internet enabled trailer parks in Jessemine County needs group therapy.
I mean I’ll give them that they hate us while we very rarely acknowledge their existence as a football program. All the other stuff they listed as you’ve said is a fallacy.

It’s consummate “little man” syndrome. It’s got to be. The 35 year streak, not to mention the overall record damaged them deeply, emotionally. I’ve seen it first hand with family. They are deluded about their place in the football landscape, and more specifically their place in this rivalry. This is attested to by the fact they gloss over the historical record to point out the 2 wins in the last 5 years in defense. It’s really stunning.

It causes me conflict to admit it, but there is nobody I love beating more.

Kentucky is a Jekyll/Hyde team. One thing for sure is that they don't play well coming from behind. We need to jump on them early and then watch Levis make mistake after mistake. But he's capable of a good game if we let it stay close but when he goes into panic mode good things happen for the other team.

What I really want to see is a complete, dominating game on both sides of the ball - a trial run for going down to Athens.

You should go read the thread talking about the early point spread, it's 5.5, now they are going off on how that should tell TN fans that they will dominate this game. I always disliked KY but after spending time reading teh crap on that board, I absolutely despise them now!

Vegas gave that early -5.5 to get that Kentucky money rolling. By game time it will be -14.

I will say I am glad we get a hangover game before them. If, big IF, we play sloppy against them, they are capable of beating us. If we play focused, with a game in between to buffer/knock off the joy and keep us focused, instead of just a by week, we should show up ready. Especially with a sold out home crowd. Huepel has kept us focused so far, so I dont see any reason to think we wont be.

They will lose their mind when their coveted running back recruit gets offers by UT and flips. A few of those guys will stroke out. Lol
I think they have three recruits from Tennessee committed. Somebody over there brought them up and was very concerned.

From what I've read, if UT offers the Keith kid he's ours. I think they are waiting to see if they can flip the Dowdle kid from Oregon first.

EVERY F’ING YEAR!!!!!

You would think by now they would’ve learned but nope they still think they’re going to win. I have no idea why they work themselves into this frenzy but damn if it isn’t funny when they lose. Should call them the Kentucky Lemmings, keep running off that cliff you crazy cats.

These fellas, I like them, I really do. Don't want to spend too much time with them, but I appreciate their never-surrender mindset.

Fact is, 85% of Kentucky football fans are cowering in the corner.

These comments are from the other 15%. The ones who didn't finish high school, even though they were 17 years old when they got to 9th grade. You know, the ones who drove a crappy beat-up chevy impala to junior high, parked in the teachers' parking lot. Smelled funny. Didn't say much in any of their classes, but talked a lot of crap while selling weed out by the fence at the back of the playground.

Yeah. Those fellas.

It is not surprising that they don't make much sense. But I love their combativeness.

Go Vols!
Was it the same 15% that broke an arm and a leg raking leaves when they fell out of the tree?

Or maybe it was the 15% got fired from the M & M factory for throwing out all the W's?

Could it possibly have been the 15% that tried to dial "911" but gave up when they could find "11" on their phones?

Lol at the one that thinks our fans are having nightmares about Kentucky. Honestly most fans aren’t even thinking about Kentucky. We’re looking forward at Georgia.
That's the one sticking out to me. Sounds like someone trying to cover their own fear. I have seen maybe four or five posters on this board worried about Kentucky, and those same four or five have been worried about everybody from Ball State on this season.

I mean the players have to know they can’t look past Kentucky but it’s much the same with South Carolina or Missouri. It the sec any team can beat you if you’re off that night, except Vanderbilt, Vandy isn’t beating anyone. The fans though, everyone is worried about getting to Georgia without injury, Kentucky is and always will be little brother.
