What other message boards are saying (Post Game A&M Edition)

I don’t necessarily agree with a lot of this, but my God, they have to be frustrated with Jimbo. All the money in the world and they aren’t even average after more than enough time. I’m sure they have their hands in the air after today.
If they only realized how lucky we were to get by in this game. Yeah, we could've ran them out of the stadium but to do that you have to play like that. The D saved us yesterday, & as it ended up Dee Williams saved us. A&M could have easily beat us but fortunately they didn't. Give our players credit for hanging in there & beating them.

I prob agree with hindsight. But those happen every game and coaches make those “decisions” constantly. I don’t view them as bad decisions as much as just game flow calls. Sometimes they turn out perfect and sometimes not. Thankfully we overcame. After hearing Josh post game I think those decisions were dictated by the wind. JMO
The first FG would have been a chip shot

They were. Talked to many of them walking around. They love the area, and most were having a great time, but the hills were driving them nuts. :) Apparently it is the dictionary picture of flat at College Station.
I worked with a guy from Oklahoma State in Oak Ridge. He said the hills and mountains in ET make him claustrophobic. He said the flat land is better / wide open. I think the flat land is lonesome and desolate

Man, aTm is stuck with this guy. They’ve laid out a ton of NIL money, got all the 5*s on the planet and they’ve got three losses already in his, what, 6th season? And just signed a 10 yr, $95M contract in 2021. That’s a prison sentence for the A&M faithful. Good thing they have about a billion alumni. GoFundMe is gonna get really popular in College Station.

I lived out west years ago and head similar thoughts. I agree with you. I love the hills and the trees. All the A&M folks I talk to commented on how pretty it was here. I hope they had a good time.

I like the A&M fans. We should have kicked Vanderbilt out and only took in A&M. Maybe trade South Carolina for Clemson and Florida for FSU, too. We don’t need to expand. The SEC needs to upgrade.

For great laughs, Watch some of the delusional YouTube reports from Aggie outlets. “Defense played great, we had superior talent, the better team, etc” The only place I’d say A&M was clearly better Saturday was at WR. Please don’t say DL…. Vol DL dominated the game, theirs got gashed for almost 250 yds rushing. Vol OL was better than theirs. Vol RBs certainly better than theirs. Both QBs were below average. Kicking game a clear Vol advantage. Aggies appear to let their 2022 recruiting class (some no longer there) fog their brain.l

The best defender for A&M was the referee. 4 drives were stopped by penalties, 2 of which were very questionable. Add the 3 missed PIs.
And how does that happen? Star rankings aren’t close. 🤔

I know some Vol fans poo-poo the "culture" and "family" talk around Heupel's program, but if "money and talent" determined success, A&M would be rising through the SEC ranks like the second coming of the NY Yankees.

However long it takes, and whenever the required lucky breaks fall our way, we are doing it right. It's a good time to be proud to be a Tennessee Volunteer. Too many fans, teams, and schools around the country are envious of us, for us to take our blessings lightly.

The only obvious gaffe I recall Jimbo making was some clock mismanagement on their last drive. I thought their play calling was pretty good, they just couldn’t protect the qb. They even had less penalties than us
IMO, it was one of the more questionable coaching efforts from Heupel since he has been here. Left a lot of points on the field with his decisions but found a way to win thanks to defense and ST.

If they think Jimbo was outcoached on Heupels bad day, they would hate to play him on a good day.

-Heupel controlled this game and out coached Jimbo.

Now I am confused….our board was telling me OUR COACH was getting out coached.😂😂😂
It’s very simple.
Fan Think 101
Both coaches out coached each other and both coaches were out coached by each other. 😄
Depends on what team you are a fan of

I recently drove from Knoxville to Charlotte through the mountains and I have to disagree. I love the mountains, but the drivers were horrendous. I will take the Texas wide-open space driving every time.

Especially given that Texas now looks to be improving. Having them play each other in conference will be the best thing about the SEC expanding.

They hate fake UT more than we do. That endears them to me slightly.
You have to understand, ATM has always been "little brother" to Texas. The hate runs deep here in Texas between those two schools. ATM thought they would never play Texas again, but SEC expansion screwed them big time.

One good thing about the flat farmland in west Texas; if your dog runs away, you can still see him 3 days later.

They were great. I was in JJ so right near them during the game. They were awesome for the most part. Only a couple bad apples. Had one bad mouthing Neyland after the game....since.you know the upper bowl on the south end zone is one of the least renovated parts of the stadium and all....
If they think I am concerned about opposing fans feeling comfort in Neyland, you would be sadly mistaken. I want to aTm in 2016 and sit midway up the upper deck in the end zone and could not see the numbers on the jerseys in the closest end zone. Either team.

College Station is in East Texas. South and Southwest Texas is hilly and mountainous. You're correct about West Texas being flat but it still sits a a higher elevation than much of Tennessee
