You have to understand, ATM has always been "little brother" to Texas. The hate runs deep here in Texas between those two schools. ATM thought they would never play Texas again, but SEC expansion screwed them big time.

It should be a little different for them than it was. Texas doesn't call the shots in the SEC the way they did in the Big 12. A&M will get equal money from the conference. They may not even have to play them every year if the single permanent opponent sticks. I mean it's not like A&M is Vandy. They'll be OK.

It's funny reading this and reading the game thread. Halfway through the game people were calling for the heads of the coaching staff. I think I read "I can't believe we're being outcoached by Bobby Petrino" at least 5 times.

By every right, A&M should be so much better than UT at football right now.

Think about it-
A&M basically got to pick their coach a few years ago
Extremely high recruiting classes for how many years bow

They picked an over rated coach. Very simple.

For once, UT got VERY lucky with Heupel

They praise us on how good our team is while our fans want Joe out and Nico in and the sky is falling...Sometimes I hate reading these boards...Reminds me about how bad things were and yet things are just wonderful now compared to how they were 3 short years ago...Some people just can't be happy and have become used to being miserable.

Folks forget quick. They should be happy we have a staff that can coach up talent and has changed the culture at Tennessee. Football isn’t always pretty all teams have struggles at one area or another at times. Football isn’t easy, some expect perfection and cannot be satisfied with winning. Finding ways to get it done when your not your best is a great trait. At first they piled on the O-Line early, then the D sucked according to many after the Florida game. Then it was the secondary and now it is Milton and the wide receivers. We are team that is growing up and finding ways to win at the same time!!!!Go Big Orange!!!!

You can support the team while still wanting/hoping for better. No one watching the game Saturday thought that was good football. Was it great we won? Absolutely. That doesn't mean it's crazy to still wish we had a competent offense.

It was very good defense and special teams. It was hardly all bad. We played a very tough D but scored enough. So you can’t say we didn’t play some good football. They offense could have played better but they weren’t facing chopped liver either. We are 5-1, GBO!

Running the ball we absolutely have a competent offense. and we were able to run on the best Rush D we will face all year even when they knew it was all we had. Under Heupel we have ALWAYS been a rushing team. last year it was covered up by the passing game, but it was still there. Going away from the running game is what cost us the Florida game. we are and need to be a run first offense. Doesn't mean we should just sit back and run the same 3 run formations all game, but its there and its good enough to lean on.

This might be partially due to them focusing only part of the week on Arkansas. They could have put more time into preparing for UT.

I absolutely think we can. I'm not as sure we will, but to beat them it will take 60 full minutes of guts and fight. I've seen it twice this year. If they show up in Tuscaloosa with it, I believe we will.

Bama is a solid team this season but not special like typical Saban contenders. Sure they can beat us but we can absolutely pull of the win this Saturday. Arky and A&M were in a game with them through 4 quarters and UT is better than both of those squads. UT has arguably the best rushing attack in CFB along with a damn good defense. If we improve one facet of the offense in the passing game to just decent, then I believe we win.

The SEC will only be on ESPN/ABC next year unless we play at another teams home field that is on CBS

Although I'm not personally keen on comparing other teams close success to what we should do, I Agree 100%.

That said I know how the weak look at games like this. It's easier to laugh at the thought of us winning because the lack of accountability. As for their ego, the very worst thing that could happen is we win. Lol

I have to admit I was pretty certain we were going to lose when A&M started their offensive series with 3 minutes left. Just years of experience speaking.

Defense today and Jalen Wright were the real bright spots today.

I kept thinking "There's too much time on the clock!" So glad I worried for nothing.
