100% spot onI believe half you morons expect 4k passing every year or WRs that set school records yearly. It takes everyone doing their job to get that kind of production. Remember Hookers first year ? Thats about where we are with a few better pieces, namely a DL that gets after a qb and 3 solid rbs. The wrs are not elite. Hooker had elite guys. Milton is not as good as Hooker, but milton doesn't have the same quality of wr's or OL to work with either. Milton has some flaws but to be treated this sh1tty by our fan base is ***** embarrassing
While I see what your saying, it is my belief we can't trust the OL or the WR right now. The TE's against better teams are being used to help the OL. If we are going to do that then we need an option out of the back field. All of our backs can make plays in space. Also attacking the middle doesn't have to 25 yard routes. But yes some drags and curl routes would also open up more of the fieldI’ve heard many great coaches say the most important ability for a QB to be successful is the ability to quickly process what they are seeing and make quick decisions. That to me is an area Joe struggles in more than anything else. He doesn’t have it mentally. You can then add on the concerns with accuracy and low football IQ. I don’t think the coaches trust him to throw over the middle of the field for those reasons and we’ve seen him throw into coverage and throw picks on the few occasions they’ve tried to do it.
With those issues, can’t really make a case that he is a good qb.
As far as passing options, I’m surprised we haven’t tried to get the TEs more involved with some easy drag routes, rollouts, etc. if we had a solid QB, I don’t think we would see the play calling as limited as it currently is and these other guys would develop
The quick passes over the middle were working very well against bama and opened up the downfield passing in the first half then it felt like we didn’t see it at all the second half. Curls would be great if our WRs would execute them well. Seems like most of our sacks happen on plays with curls and deep ins and comebacks and our oline can’t hold up that long. See the sack fumble against bama and a lot of the sacks allowed against Florida and A&M. Pretty much all had long developing routes with no one getting open. Like you said everyone has to do their jobs at a high level for things to workout. While I see what you’re saying, it is my belief we can't trust the OL or the WR right now. Worst thing in the world for fans is to become 'competitive'..... and then disappoint.
He is already Kentucky's 2nd best coach all time.As much as people are trashing on Stoops, he's a very good coach. Kentucky has a ceiling in football.
His real decision is whether he wants to leave for a better chance at winning a national title or stay and become Kentucky's 2nd best coach of all time (don't forget ... Bear Bryant coached there before Bama). I don't think he'll ever win the SEC at Kentucky.

They aren't gonna fire Stoops.Kentucky will never do better than Stoops. They are crazy if they fire him.
I feel like the shine is off him a bit when it comes to better jobs though. I wonder how much better he can do by moving? He might end up with a similar situation that carries higher expectations.
...and yet we still win. It really has nothing to do with how shi**y Tennessee teams are at any given time. It's all about Kentucky sucking. We've won 36 of the last 39. That's the story everyone goes with. Look at the overall record. Is it really any better? It is but I can see the frustration from UK fans wanting more wins during that stretch. UT has had some horrendous teams since Stoops has been there.
Looking at the overall record. We've had three ties. Ket's give those ties to them as victories...and then multiply by 3. We Still have a winning record against Kentucky....and yet we still win.
