What other message boards are saying (Post Kentucky Edition)

I think Milton's stock, and our offense, will be rising rest of the season now that Hyp has discovered rolling him out some and let him have a run/pass option takes better advantage of his abilities, now matter how good or limited you think those are. As Majors said above, he is a good passer on the rollouts.
Adds another dimension to the offense and takes some velo off the ball on those 20 yard of less balls.

If you were paying attention you would see we have abandoned 90% of our passing game and the play calls tell you why. CJH didn’t suddenly decide he doesn’t like downfield passing anymore.
You do realize a successful passing play does require good execution by 10 other players as well, right? Milton is not the only player not clicking on 2022 levels you know

One of their boards is pining for Dabo and thinking they can get him. Dabo is overrated as hell and isn’t that good but he’s not leaving the setup he has for the 5th best job in the SEC East lol. They’re beyond delusional.
Right now, a lot of Clemson fans wish that Dabo would leave and go elsewhere.

His style is outdated and his failure to use the portal is killing the Tigers.

The popular choices for his replacement are, in no particular order...

Brent Venables - Oklahoma HC
Janet Chadwell - Liberty HC
Garrett Riley - Clemson OC
Deion Sanders - Colorado HC

Dabo isn't overrated. How many HC's with two Natty's have we ever had in Knoxville?
He's just committed to a way that's no longer valid.

KY definitely one of the tough places to recruit and win at in the SEC. Stoops took a bit of a shot at UK boosters after GA game when he commented about all those 5* players there and maybe his program needs better NIL $ to get some of them. It probably all goes to BB there.

And your smarts has determined its just Milton ? Yet wr's drop passes, OL gets mauled etc ? Milton doesn't have Hyatt and Tillman or even a TE thats close to the talent level of Fant. Our main skill talent are Rb's. You don't know anything more then just what you believe. Our WR's are not good outside of Squirrel and Nimrod. They played better yesterday and so does Milton. Not every ball is perfect, Milton has flaws but he is nowhere near as bad as some of you hate driven arm chairs think. He's capable of making any throw on the field, yet our play calling sucks.... Heupel is responsible for that when you continue to run garbage plays we haven't executed all year. If ***** Kiffin could make Crompton serviceable behind a sh1t OL then I damn well expected Heupel to adjust to what we could do well. No excuses.

Dabo is very overrated. Surrounded himself with coaches smarter than him and capitalized on having under the table benefits before NIL. Had the fortune of having QBs keep the momentum and skill position players magically arriving from out of state.

To be fair he has more wins vs TN than the previous.. I don’t know… 10 coaches combined.
26 year stretch didn’t help their cause. Those coaches were not given 11 years to get to 2. Joker won 1 in 3, he might of sniffed two wins in 11 years.

Also dumb ass it isn't the arm why we dont throw deep too often.... Has more to do with WRs and OL. Milton has the best arm in college football. As you saw last night he can hit the long ball. He hit it last year also in his limited time. Just own the fact you have no idea wtf you are talking about

I’ll put my knowledge of football up against yours any day dude. Keep telling yourself Milton is a good qb. I’m sure it’s going to work out well

Sir, we just rushed for 250 yards against a Kentucky defense who has been great against the run. It won us the game late. You don’t have much of an argument….
Anyone can see the personnel is the limiting factor right now. We need to get better everywhere except maybe RB on offense.

He’s an avg coach when he doesn’t have a generational QB and one of the best DC’s in football. He won because of two guys who are NFL starting QB’s today and Venables. His recruiting classes, on paper, the last 3 years are no less impressive than they were in the playoff days, yet he’s lost 3+ games for 3 consecutive years while playing a mediocre schedule. There is one team in the ACC who’s recruited remotely close to his level and that’s FSU yet he’s lost 4 ACC games already. He’s average and greatly benefited from the teams around him geographically being down.

I think they should go with Janet.
Who says a woman can’t coach…oh, wait…what?

I have been no big fan of Joe.
Especially the mental part and decision making.
But he was MUCH better vs UK. Once he started to go out of bounds and then realized he shouldn’t.
I screamed at my TV, “wait to go, Joe”. Lol.

Milton is a below avg QB. 228 yds passing against KY shouldn’t be a high water mark for a TN QB in this offense.
Its called a balanced attack. If Joe threw for 400 and we rush for 75 does it really matter? Peyton threw for +500 & Couch had like +600. We won, but they had more passing yards. A balanced attack is harder to stop, because we are moving the ball both ways. I'd like to see deep in routes & back shoulders throws myself, but we have to play to our strengths.

Most are already over it now and praising Levis for his performance today with the Titans. As a Titans fan, I’m great with it as well.

We ran more than we passed last year…. Since you are unable to distinguish between the two you might also consider that the QB doesn’t throw it then run down the field and catch it.

He is a good QB. Is he a great ? No, not in my opinion. However he is here and what we have. He is getting better and they are calling plays finally to fit our offensive talent as a whole. Tell me this, which wr without Bru is the go to ? Which guy are you betting on to get open and be dependable catching the ball ? This season has been a blender of mistakes, some on the QB, some on the OL, some of it is play calling. We do not have the WR unit we had. Yeah I expected them to be better. A good QB wins more than he loses. One thing I do not understand is we all see the OL can't protect long. Why are we not using Sampson, Wright and Small out of the back field ? If the TE's have to help the OL we could use that.

That is so freaking funny lol… I love where they were saying that everyone was going to the Copper Cellar after they got back to Knoxville.. lol good times, good times lol.. and Kentucky is obsessed with us.. thanks for the video.. was an awesome time to be a student there
I remember when the Copper Cellar opened. Loved to go there and get the "yard of ale."

I see Milton as an average QB when he is playing well; however, he is often a net negative on the field when he is not.

I just don’t think he processes what he sees on the field quick enough.

Physically he has it all and more, but that does not overcome the slow processing of what is happening on the field.

Define good? Or at least to your standards of your personal expectations set forth for a good QB.

-The NIL broke our back, I’m done.

-I wish we had a running back like they do.

-Stoops has to go! We’re headed for another 5 win season. F***

-So we faked an injury and lost the game, of COURSE WE DID!!!!

-9 million dollars to this idiot to be an incompetent coach.

-Well we are 4-36 against Tennessee in my lifetime.

-I told myself all day not to get my hopes up for this game and I did. Self torture is something I like I guess.

-Heupel owns Stoops and it’s freaking pathetic.

-Piss poor tackling lost this game.

-Can I wear a paper bag to Starkville next week?

-I AM SO DAMN SICK OF TENNESSEE

-We had two weeks to prepare for mediocre Tennessee and lost LOL

-Even if there wasn’t a 10 second run off, UT was going to be kicking a FG that would've been caught by angels and swifted through the uprights while an immaculate chorus sang.

-GOD I HATE TENNESSEE

-Leary must’ve got drunk between the 3rd and 4th

-Tennessee owns our ass and I HATE IT

-Stoops couldn’t coach a pee wee team. We are freaking god awful.

-Tennessee said enough was enough and hit us in the mouth in the 4th quarter. Heupel knows how to coach his players up and unfortunately for us, Stoops does not.

-Anyone want the rest of my season tickets at a deep discount?

-We have given up nearly 1500 yards in the last 3 games, I’m numb at this point.

-Tennessee is like the high school bully who just dominates you even after high school is long over.

-I’m going to get drunk.

-Freaking Tennessee, JESUS CHRIST!! I can’t stand these son of a bitches!!

-This isn’t a rivalry anymore, quit calling it one.
Lord knows this is how I feel about Alabama most years. It is nice to be on the other side.

I’m feel their frustration but Stoops has them competitive - I knew this would be a hard fought game and either team could win. I can remember when I felt like the Kentucky game was a gimme but we were significantly humbled over the last 15 years and Stoops has built a solid program. So now I do see it as a rivalry game but one they have had trouble getting over the hump.
Stoops and the Kentucky program are fool’s gold. He has padded his record with a weak non-conf schedule year after year and has only beaten two teams with winning records in the SEC in his ten years there. The only power 5 non-SEC team they’ve played in those ten years has been Louisville, and that series is part of a long-term contract Kentucky has hinted at not renewing, but continues to extend due to political pressure. The formula has worked in that they go 3-1 or 4-0 in non-SEC games every year, so all they have to do is win 2-3 conference games to secure a bowl bid and Stoops gets another raise. It really is a doozy of an arrangement he has going in Lexington.

I think the issue is the roller coaster ride. They think they are one of the best in the country then the bottom falls out.
