What other message boards are saying (UGA Edition)

Agreed. They win their national titles forty plus years after their first one, yet in the interim have acted like they won 10X more titles than Alabama. These people are insufferable. One would think the Ray Goff, Jim Donnan and most of the Mark Richt era against the VOLS would have taught them to keep their mouth shut. Apparently the saying is true, you can't fix stupid.

All of my wife’s classmates and friends were at Athens during the Goff-Donnan years.

All of them are scarred by the Streak. I am impervious to them because of the Streak. I’ve just never considered them annoying or intimidating at all, ever.

It’s glorious.

Even the Alabama fans were not this delusional.

Wow...

Of course the Georgia fans that I have met in real life are not this dumb.

I imagine these guys must be Uncle Lou fans because that guy lives in his own world.

But Georgia fans have a lot to make them confident - they have a one game winning streak against Bama.

I note that the mouth breathing inbreds like to refer to us as UTjr. I guess that makes Texas UTsr. Pretty ignorant, considering the real UT was founded in 1794 and UTex was founded in 1883. I always thought Jr was the younger one. The whole state of Georgia should've been left as a penal colony.

Vols will be loose and free.
Uga will have all the pressure. I dont think they can handle it.
The noise wont be a factor.

Vols can go fast and they can work the clock. They can take the punches and hit back.
This will be a knock down drag out battle.
I think coach will scheme the perfect game to shut down uga.

When the clock hits 0:00 - i see a UT victory.

Screw uga and their delusional fanbase.

This is the one week where it would be wise to follow Teddy Roosevelt's advice to "Walk softly, and carry a big stick."

Let them think what they want. They want to act like morons, let them. Our team will drown it out and then whatever happens on Saturday will happen. For the first time in years, I don't need to talk smack back to them. I'm confident in our team. Are we as talented as they are? No but you couldn't tell by watching us. You have a coach who recruits 5* QBs who are on the bench because they can't beat out a freaking walk on at QB. Stetson is pretty good, but it says more about your development of talent that he is still your starting QB. Our staff went to the automobile graveyard, took some pieces from an old buick, an old camaro, a worn out corvette, a wrecked jalopy, and have rebuilt these spare parts into a finely tuned machine.

Keep barking, leghumpers. I'm just going to sit back and watch what happens. If we do it this year, awesome. If not, I'm not going to worry too much over it because quite frankly, it's going to happen. We weren't expecting it so soon, but that sound you hear in the distance... those far away notes... you know what it is... It's Rocky Top, and it can't be stopped. It's only a matter of time.
Sorry, you can't build a Hemi using Chevy/Buick parts.

More delusion in this message board from a Georgia fan:

Big Week in SEC Next Week

Their defense is the "BEST" we have seen and they are going to shut us down. Same narrative that people keep pushing.

These goobs are truly delusional. We may lose but they can’t even fathom that their team can lose.

I want to see the meltdown of us being ranked 1 in the CFP poll and beating them.

People just can't get past our history, recruiting classes, etc.

Alabama and Kentucky must have crappy defenses and Georgia's defense is just stellar and will stop us.

I don't see it. I saw Georgia live last year. Their defense isn't better than Alabama's defense. Alabama is the best unit we have played on defense this year and maybe once the season is all over.

UGA on O is a bad matchup for us. Those TEs will be trouble, and they are physical on both lines.

Their D is not as good as last year, but that was possibly an all-time great D last year. If this year's D is 80% of last year it's still damn good. They are fundamentally sound and well coached.

We will have to play a very clean game to win, I think it comes down to which UT D shows up... the one that made Anthony Richardson look like a good SEC QB, or the one that made Will Levis look like the overrated fraud he actually is.

I think the D has improved as the year has moved along, but we need to rally to the ball and gang tackle. Bennett can be pressured into mistakes, however he is mobile enough to hurt you with his feet.

I think our O can score on about anyone... including UGA and OSU... but can the D hold up just enough? It doesn't have to be the '85 Bears, but forcing field goals and turnovers will be the tipping point if the Vols win.

If this were at home I'd call a Vols win... on the road I think it's more like 65/35 UGA... but we definitely have a puncher's chance.

One thing I have zero doubt about is our players will go in prepared and will not be afraid of the moment or the big stage, and Heupel/Golesh will scheme up some wrinkles that have not been put on film.

I'm excited to see the team meet the challenge. It's always great to be a Vol but it's now also fun again.

Ah yes, the Bulldog faithful taking a play from the same playbook as *checks notes*:

Pitt
Florida
LSU
Alabama
Kentucky

The only thing that gives me any pause about this game is if we can scheme against their TE pass game. Bowers is a world apart from anyone we’ve played at that position thus far. The rest of the team is solid, but they are not last years Bulldogs and their defense doesn’t concern me in the least - Bama has an edge in that area and we know how that turned out.

I have a grandson who played football when he was 13, back in 2017. I was there watching, and Tennessee and Georgia were playing that day. If I remember, Georgia shut us out that day, okay, just checked and the bullpups won 41 -0. There were some women there that, every time Georgia scored, they would do the barking. I have to say, that is the stupidest thing I have ever heard from adults. Tennessee has not been intimidated by anyone this year, don't see it happening Saturday. Quick slants over the middle, and rollouts should be a part of the game plan.

"We are a terrible matchup for Ut Jr. Our offense is just as good as theirs and our defensive line will blow them up all afternoon."

LMAO

Their Dline is 120th in the country in Team Sacks :p

The comment on the offense is so stupid I don't even need to comment

Their TEs are what concerns me the most. They are monsters, and very athletic.

This is what I was thinking the whole time I was reading their posts. They HAVE NOT played a team like ours. Alabama made the same mistake thinking their D was stout enough and we wouldn’t be able to score on them. 🤷🏼‍♂️ We even made a few big mistakes (the late scoop and score comes to mind) and still overcame them. We’re used to this. They are not.

It’s a triple headed monster at the position and they deserve every bit of the accolades they get for their TE play. That is going to be the biggest challenge for us, but I’m sure the coaching staff has some things in mind already to try to negate that advantage as much as possible.

Credit where credit is due. UGA is a top notch team but they aren’t invincible. Mizzou and Kent State made noise against them and proved they are human. Besides, this is 2022 and they seem to be stuck in 2021.

I love the whole "Tennessee hasn't faced a defense like ours" quotes. Especially the ones that refer to how they manhandled Florida. I may be wrong but didn't Kentucky handle Florida's offense better?

Kentucky held them to 279 total yards and 16 points.

Georgia held them to 371 total yards and 20 points.

So looks like Kentucky is a better Defense using their line if thinking.

Conversely, their defense hasn’t faced an offense like ours. Maybe that’s why they’ve ranked so high.

Most have no clue other than say the past 5-10 years. Had a guy calling me a liar for saying Tennessee had a 9 game win streak over Georgia. He'd made the comment that they'd put us in our place like they have throughout history. They're delusional, sincerely think they'd beat NFL teams, it's hilarious. There are a few that know football, but I swear not many, and they're all around me.

Better to explain they won only 4 times versus the Vols from 1925 to 2000 (75 years)
