What other message boards are saying (UGA Edition)

From Dawgs 247
-If we play our best game and UT Jr. plays their best game, we blow them out by 20 plus.

-We’re the best team in the country and everyone knows it. Tennessee hasn’t done ****.

-We are a terrible matchup for Ut Jr. Our offense is just as good as theirs and our defensive line will blow them up all afternoon.

-UT Jr. has only played two road games, they’re not ready.

-UGA has proven they can play mistake football and beat teams comparable to FL. TN only beat them by 5 remember.

-If we play like we did against Florida on D, Tennessee will score 50+. Richardson’s horrible accuracy won’t be there next week to bail us out. Maybe we can score 60+ on them and it won’t really matter.

-If we don't turn the ball over , Vols lose by 20

-UT has the same margin of error against a UGA team capable of scoring points. UGA held FL to less points than TN. UGA scored more points against FL than TN. UGA is a more complete team at home. They still have to play the game, but TN has the the way way tougher battle imo

-TN’s secondary is by far worser than UGA’s and UGA has the offense to exploit it. UT’s offense will have a tougher out than UGA’s offense because of the respective defenses.

-It’s obvious. We will win Saturday if we play a clean game by 45-34!

-Just run the damn ball and dump passes off to the TEs and let them do work to slow the game down. Hopefully our secondary will be up to the task next Saturday as we will need their best efforts as well as the LBs in coverage.

-Can UGA keep them under 21? If yes, we win.

-We are going to hammer them.

-UT looks good..whether we like it or not

-I feel good about our offense… but our D has to get a pass rush! I’m very curious to see our gameplan.. does Kirby shorten the game and play a bend don’t break on D.. but that can backfire quickly with a couple big plays..
If ringo doesn’t stop leaping too early for pbu we’re gonna get cooked deep

-We will need to score 40+, Can’t have ridiculous turnovers, And Stetson will need to outplay the way he has the last several weeks

-Stetson needs to take the passes that are there, not try to make the ESPN highlights. The athletes are there to do more when the catch it, he needs to be more careful with the ball and our possessions in general.

-Dawgs win and cover. Staff will have them ready.

-UT getting all this hype for beating Kentucky, another trash team they’ve played.

-This game is impossible to predict. Need to start STRONG and FAST, otherwise UT could put up 50+ on us. Can see it being very close, and I can also see this being a blowout on either side. Tough one

-We should score TDs on most possessions. Their D is atrocious.

-Tennessee is overrated. Kentucky sucks. It’s two JV teams.

-We will skull drag Tennessee, we’re the only elite team in the country.

-Sanford crowd will be the x-factor. Tennessee is very good. But Georgia is better.

-Sanford is about to break the Neyland decibel record next week. Dawgs by 17!

-It's epic if we win. If we play like we played against Florida it will be a nightmare.

-This love fest for Tennessee is sickening. The most overrated team in cfb history!

I also scanned DawgRant, but it seemed like everyone was pretty level headed over there for the most part.
I’m not worried about what anyone says, Georgia struggled to Missouri. You can’t compare games doesn’t matter what Tennessee done to Florida or what Georgia done.. I can’t stand when people try to compare.. Tennessee’s key to winning this game is at the line of scrimmage.. Stop the run and force Bennet to throw the ball under pressure… We’ve gotta protect Hooker and run the ball… If we score more then 40 points, We will win..

UGA on O is a bad matchup for us. Those TEs will be trouble, and they are physical on both lines.

Their D is not as good as last year, but that was possibly an all-time great D last year. If this year's D is 80% of last year it's still damn good. They are fundamentally sound and well coached.

We will have to play a very clean game to win, I think it comes down to which UT D shows up... the one that made Anthony Richardson look like a good SEC QB, or the one that made Will Levis look like the overrated fraud he actually is.

I think the D has improved as the year has moved along, but we need to rally to the ball and gang tackle. Bennett can be pressured into mistakes, however he is mobile enough to hurt you with his feet.

I think our O can score on about anyone... including UGA and OSU... but can the D hold up just enough? It doesn't have to be the '85 Bears, but forcing field goals and turnovers will be the tipping point if the Vols win.

If this were at home I'd call a Vols win... on the road I think it's more like 65/35 UGA... but we definitely have a puncher's chance.

One thing I have zero doubt about is our players will go in prepared and will not be afraid of the moment or the big stage, and Heupel/Golesh will scheme up some wrinkles that have not been put on film.

I'm excited to see the team meet the challenge. It's always great to be a Vol but it's now also fun again.

I'd be afraid of their TEs if they had a QB and OC that could make proper use of them.

If we can get pressure on Bennet we win. If not, we will have to out score them... and probably still win.

I hope we absolutely torch them...Nothing would make me happier than to see us demolish them in thier own stadium...I hate those bastids...I at least respect Alabama but UGA is pretty much a good team that got lucky and beat an undermanned Alabama squad for the title...Not impressed...Lets go in there and ruin thier season!

More delusion in this message board from a Georgia fan:

Big Week in SEC Next Week

Their defense is the "BEST" we have seen and they are going to shut us down. Same narrative that people keep pushing.
Both UK and Bama had top D's before playing UT.

UGA does have a great D. I don't think they'll discover the magic formula for stopping UT... but we'll see. I watched their UF game today. UGA's bigger problem could be on that side of the ball with UT. That would surprise a lot of people but they just seem too dependent on their TE but especially their OL. They bully opponents' DLs. UT probably has the best DL by a fairly significant margin that they've played.

Mizzou may be most instructive. Not extraordinarily talented but they play well on the LOS and schemed UGA up pretty well.

Bennett does make mistakes under pressure. I also noticed that they work pretty hard to open passing windows for him. If UT can get middle push then get their hands up... he'll break the pocket.

I love the whole "Tennessee hasn't faced a defense like ours" quotes. Especially the ones that refer to how they manhandled Florida. I may be wrong but didn't Kentucky handle Florida's offense better?

Kentucky held them to 279 total yards and 16 points.

Georgia held them to 371 total yards and 20 points.

So looks like Kentucky is a better Defense using their line if thinking.

We’ve heard that same line over and over again this year.

UF fans said they had “SEC corners” unlike Pitt and they would shut us down.

Then, LSU fans were claiming their defense was something like we hadn’t experienced, especially on the road.

Next, the arrogant Bama fans claimed their front 7 was full of first-rounders, the likes of which we’ve never experienced.

Kentucky fans then claimed their defense was better than Bama’s, and we had no idea what is coming for us.

Now, UGA’s arrogance is on display.

You know what? I wouldn’t have it any other way. I prefer opponents truly believing they’re better than us when we crush their dreams.

No fan ever looks at themselves in the mirror, their SEC schedule is a joke. They have played USCjr, Auburn, Vanderbilt, Missou and Florida. They won the games they were supposed to win but this will be their toughest test to date.

They watched film on Rattler and knew how to defend, same with Ashford, same with Swann, Cook and Richardson. But after looking at film on Hooker they're scratching their heads and asking the same question that Napier, Kelly, Saban and Stoops did. How in the heck do you defend against that?

Good question," Smart chuckled on Saturday in his Florida post game press conference. "That will be an age-old question defensive coordinators try to figure out. We are all searching. There is no way, let's be honest. You can two-huddle, three-huddle, shotgun huddle, go on air, but they do it, and they do it well. It is really hard to simulate."

I kinda feel like we ran it against ky a lot to practice for Georgia. We get a run game going, and they gotta worry about that, or getting burned by our passing game.

I think all thee teams just copy and paste the pregame comments from the week before.....

This got me laughing.

It isn't just Georgia fans in that board though. Michigan and an Oklahoma fan took Georgia's side as well. Everyone is doubting.

The problem is some of the comments make my head hurt because I can tell some of them haven't seen Tennessee play.

Agreed. As lopsided as that game was Hype ran a rather vanilla offense. ( I'm sure our ky posters will love that line).
No wrinkles etc..

A lot of them are very cocky. Some are also very salty about all the love we are getting.
Here's the thing I don't see anyone talking about regarding Tennessee and their season so far:

Everything, and I do mean everything, has broken their way, and nothing more than the schedule.

Every big game except one (LSU) has been at home, and that one tough game on the road was at 11am Central, and not 7pm Central that LSU would prefer. Also, LSU was still figuring themselves out, especially with how best to use Jayden Daniels.

This is a team that barely beat Pitt on their backup QB who couldn't complete a forward pass. The same Pitt that the NATS, on an interim coach, easily beat.

This is the same team that barely squeaked by Floriduh at home. The same FU team we just scored 42 points on (more than the Vawls, by the way) at a neutral site while playing pretty awful on offense most of the day. Oh, and while we gave up 20 points to the 'turds (mostly thanks to 3 turnovers), Tennessee had to play a perfect game to beat them because they gave up 33 points.

They also squeaked by an undisciplined Bama team that was trying to get blown out by handing the Hillbillies 17 penalties.

I don't get it. I mean, I really don't get it. Yeah, Tennessee has the No. 1 offense. Okay. Who has the No. 2 offense? Oh yeah, it's Georgia. Tennessee's defense is awful. We have the No. 4 defense. So... I don't get it. I don't get why we need to worry about them. Or why they are now suddenly the media's darling in ways we've never been over the last 6 years. And yeah, that last bit pisses me off to no end.

The disrespect for Georgia from the national CFB media is constant and unending. It can be big (never giving Kirby credit for anything and putting out all the b.s. about how he can recruit but can't coach or develop) and it can be small (all their incredulity about the spread this week), but their fawning over Heupel and Tennessee this season in ways they've never praised us pisses me off big time.

UT's offense is only slowed down with penalties and if Hooker isn't accurate. It's all about what happens on first down. Heupel and staff are great about taking what the d gives. Stack the box we'll go deep, play off a bit and we run. Not sure why they're so confident. Hopefully our line holds up. If they do, look out.

UGA's TE is worrisome. Stetson will play well. Will it be enough? If we play d like last Sat and get a couple of turnovers we win for sure.

Some of those comments are pretty delusional. UT beat Bama but the Vols are the ones who haven't done anything?

This is the correct take for fans on both sides.

UGA is a very, very unique offense. UK is sort of good prep for them since they also throw to the TE. But no one depends on TE's to the degree UGA does. No one has the quality of TE's UGA has. UGA's two leading receivers in terms of yds/rec are TE's. Their leading WR is pretty much a possession type guy. So just when we start to feel a little better about UT's pass defense... they face something completely different.

The good news there is that Banks is very good in coverage for a LB and Mitchell looked decent too. Also UT's two best CB's... may be natural safeties. UT has the ability to go "big" on the back end so UGA's make up might actually give UT a slight advantage.

To continue the weirdness of their O, their leading RB averages 55 ypg. Their leading rusher, Edwards, is 17th in the SEC. Not having a feature RB just seems strange for UGA.

Other than pass yardage... you find both of these teams pretty consistently in the top 4 of the SEC. One glaring exception for UGA is that they're last in the SEC in sacks. Pretty shocking. UGA is 7th in turnover margin. UT is 1st and is now tied for first in the SEC with 9 INTs.

We know UT's O is unique and has recently ripped formerly top ranked SEC D's. UGA will be the best of them. Something has to break. They've allowed the least plays of 30 yds or more- 10. UT has produced the most plays of 30 yds+- 36.

The match ups in this game can go any way as this guy says. There aren't many, if any, points of reference to make a good comparison
I agree that something has to break. Their leading pass rusher us out now. I think the matchups favor us, but I could see this being like the Pitt game.

I like everything about this matchup but the tight ends. Pitt had good tight end play and made the most of it.

I guess it hasn’t occurred to them that they don’t get praise from others because they give enough to themselves lol. They’re arrogant a-holes. They just don’t have a likable program because of it.
