Can Heupel's offense work in the NFL with the hashmarks being considerably closer to midfield?
Isn't a substantial part of our offense (particularly run game) predicated on stretching the far side of the field?
I'm not a statistical guru, or stratagem guru for that matter.
I don't know if Heupel's passing offense could work in the NFL. I think the NFL having the hash marks closer together midfield would seriously effect the run game. Heupel would still be looking to create the numbers mismatch on run plays, but all NFL teams have elite closing speed and they'd have less ground to cover than college teams.
Unless he has a soft spot for Oklahoma he seems like the kind of guy that sees the value of where he is. Of course if he has a couple of bad stretches I am sure everyone will want to run him off…
