What should CPF do with Foster, Wardlow and Holbert?

What should be the punishment?

It's normal for college kids this age to be drunk and out at 3 am specially after taking such of an emotional blow with the loss, but when u play football for a big time college football program and you are on scholarship your not a normal college kid and if ur gunna drink, stay in your room and play video games.

Agreed.

They knew that, they chose to risk it and they face the consequences.

You have no problem with them being drunk, underage, out at 3 AM, in a nightclub? Surely you are kidding.

our football players need to be smarter than that. suspend them for the rest of the year and allow them to come back in the spring, if they can stay out of trouble. i mean be smart enough to atleast stay out of the public eye when you are doing something your not suppose to be.

I play college baseball and if we we're caught like these 3 guys we are off the team no questions asked nothing.

OFF THE TEAM FOREVER.

Some people are arguing about whether 21 should be the drinking age or 18 should be. I don't really care.

I am sure Coach Fulmer has team rules, and I am sure some of them were broken last night by these 3 individuals. I hope they are punished by Fulmer. Part of the problem with the 2005 team was the complete lack of discipline. Behavior spirals downward when people see there are no consequnces.

Are you serious?

Your idea of having a life is underage drinking at that time in a night club?

people that are underage drink, people get caught, people get put on probation. it's not that big of a deal. yes they should be suspended, perhaps for the rest of the regular season, but they made a mistake and they are in college. if we had had problems out of these guys before i might sing a different tune, but we havent

I just read an article on SI that said a cop said Foster was "pushing" someone around when they showed up.

Where was the effort against LSU? I sure didn't see it.

season suspension. It ought to be like the old days where the punishment would be to give them each a bottle of Jack Daniels, lock 'em in closets and don't let 'em out until they empty their bottles. Then they'd never want to drink again.

Sounds like a Majors punishment for certain!

1 game suspension is adequate and run their butts in the ground at practice.

I am not trying to argue against the facts of the case. The laws are ridiculous and unless someone was physically hurt from the incident, there should be absolutely no punishment handed down.

This is the single most ridiculous statement in the history of statements. So since nobody was hurt, hell, why not have the entire team there at 3 AM getting drunk and arrested? I mean, if noone gets hurt, right?

Your statement about MADD was ignorant. I assume by your statements you think it is ok to drink and drive, as long as noone gets hurt. I hope you never lose a family member to a drunk driver. I bet you whistle a whole new tune then. Until then, keep being a rebel and fight the laws. Society doesn't need them.

I have absolutely no problems with people who drink and drive, until the point that they get in a wreck and injure others. At that point, I am all for sending them away.

However, to outlaw an activity simply because in a very minute amount of cases it might lead to harm is a farce.

I guess the problem is the breaking the law part. But its getting drunk -- which is what people do at a nightclub. And then getting mouthy with the cops. Which is what people do when they get drunk at nightclubs.

If they've not done anything wrong before and they apologize PROFUSELY, then I think suspenidng them for first half of a game is fine.

If drinking a bottle of Jack is enough to get them off of booze, they were lightweights in the first place :p

If you are old enough to vote, you are old enough to drink. I have no problem with 18 year olds getting as drunk as they want to get.

You can add old enough to die for your country in on that list.........

By your logic, a f*$&^)# moron like yourself should be able to drink and drive as much as he likes until he hurts some totally innocent person? And THEN he should be put away. Riiiiiiiight. You don't actually carry a gun or make any decisions in the service of my country, do you?

I think he is just posting this crap to try and be funny. I doubt he really believes this shat he is spewing. If he does, then he has either suffered major head trauma or ate paint chips as a kid.

I hope nobody here has lost anyone they loved to a drunk driver. If they have, I apologize for this imbecile and his attempts at humor.

Yes, indeed by my logic that is correct. Oh, and yes, I do carry an M4 Carbine and make a lot of decisions in the service of my country. I defend individual freedoms guaranteed by the Constitution.

In no attempt to offend anyone on here, but rights should be guaranteed until you use your rights to infringe on others in their pursuit of life, liberty, and happiness.

Is drinking and driving boneheaded? Assuredly it is. However, we should not legislate against it. When you hurt someone driving drunk, your crime is assault with a deadly weapon (the car) or murder.
