They were thinking: "let's take the losses and walk away with two fat paychecks."

Speaking as A season ticket holder, there's A lot more Vandy fans these days. The band wagon jumpers are everywhere! I expect the Dores and the Vols to put up huge numbers on austin Peay. I can't wait for the season to start.

Will the other 9 season ticket holders be at the game?

They were thinking $500,000+ for a couple of butt whippings for their least productive sport. It keeps the athletic department going.

If you think for one nanosecond that there are more Vandy fans in this state than there are Vol fans, you are outside your damn mind. Hell, forget the state, Vol fans outnumber Vandy fans in their own CITY.

By a whole bunch to not near enough. I'd give Vandy a slight edge in the 37232 ZipCode, which is the Vandy campus...say 60/40. The rest of Nashville and the surrounding middle Tennessee counties is all Vols

Ohio State and Northwestern say atleast APSU had the balls to stick with the game instead of sending them a letter backing out

Yeah we take up at least 2/3 of the 30,000 they pack into that shack that they call a stadium. This guy must be on some rock.

But on another not I did see a bumper sticker that said, "Vanderbilt Football, now accepting Volunteers." And the Volunteer part was in orange.

I laughed, I have to admit that was a good one.

They play the Vols and Vandy back to back!

Big pay check for Austin Peay. Also, they can drive to both Nashville & Knoxville, rather than pay for a charter plane. That will keep the expenses down.

Also, they will not have to stay in a hotel to play Vandy, and will only need to stay in a hotel for one night to play us.

So, their big payout will not be eaten up by expenses of lodging and air transportation.

I remember Fly. I was at a game at MTSU where Fly got so pissed (pun intended) he threw his chair across the court. They had just choked away a ten point lead in the final minute. I was about 10 but it taught me that no lead is insurmountable. Damn that word was hard. hehe.
