What would be the punishment if a fan happened to assault an opposing coach...

If a fan was that stupid then they need to be put away for a long time. I hope your not talking about a Tennessee fan doing this. But Hypothetically talking I hope your not talking about Kiffin when he come back to Tennessee this year with Alabama. You would see it all over Sportscenter, talk shows, we do not need any more bad press. Hypothetically speaking.

There are parents who assault little league coaches. My understanding is they for the serious legal consequences AND get sued.

Now if some nitwit is thinking of assaulting Kiffin, you are a nitwit and 12 steps beyond being a nitwit. Too many already view Tennesseans are a backward and barely subhuman population. This would only reinforce that ignorant stereotypical view. Quite likely, someone as slick as Kiffin will know where to find a lawyer that not only successfully sues the attacker but the university for failure to provide adequate security. You think the AD in in financial straits now? It's nothing compared to what could result from such a lawsuit. To even ask this question is evidence of such a level of stupidity no human language can properly express it. Perhaps Vulcan or Romulan could but no human language possibly could.

You may be right. A good many Trekky imaginary gadgets are either now real life tools or being developed. Sci FI stuff often precludes inventions based on them. Darn smart Trekkies, I'd say. But then, I'm a fan of many things. Including Sargent Preston of the Yukon and the Cisco Kid just to name a few.

Ask your question to Alabama and Auburn fans. You will get some serious answers from them.

Why bother when a Vols fan insists on acting like a Bama or Auburn fan? I can stay home and ask one of our own.

if its Kiffin,2 lifetime seats in the Terrace, immediately following the players
picking you up Rudy style
and carrying you off the field followed by a UT victory...

seems legit,go for it

That's just it, there's no one on the team that has an association with Kiffin....unless there are some 6th year players on the team.

Remember the QB Wayne Madkin from Mississippi State back in the 90s? I think that guy was on the roster for 8 years.

I'm assuming he's only joking. Out of football fandoms we're a darn polite group in real life.

Oh, I dunno, man. When Peyton didn't win the Heisman, panelists got a bag of doo doo to graphically illustrate what the thinking was about their choice.

Never underestimate human stupidity.

Yes I do....I also seem to recall that Van Tiffin kicked at Bama for at least that long as well.

From my seats I would have a great view of some 6'5 300+lb players destroy the person who jumps the field security. Good times, like the Roman Coliseum days.

There was a coach in 70's or 80's that tripped a player on the field while running back an interception or kickoff return.
