What's the excuse now?

The team will play as hard as a coach requires. Martin isn't the answer. I can handle a loss but they are down right boring to watch.

There is no excuse for this garbage Cuonzo has created. There was no excuse last year or the year before that either. We have been precisely the same team from the moment Cuonzo got here. We have not improved in the slightest.

Cuonzo should be let go immediately following tonight's game, but he won't be because the administration doesn't give a crap about winning. They just want to keep enough money rolling in and our idiot sheeple fans keep forking it over and won't demand a winner.

I agree with your post. I think the admin can't afford to fire him. Unfortunately, our football team is not much better, if not worse, than our basketball team. Lucky for us, the football team still brings in $$$, although from the stands at Neyland, not nearly as much as in years past. We are in a tough situation. CCM needs to go and CBJ hasn't had enough time to restore our football program. I say ride out this year with CCM- I reluctantly say that.

I have defended CCM for 2 years saying we needed to wait till year 3. However, I am now done! There is no excuse for four first year players to come in your house and out play 4 returning starters plus Barton? We have talent, so I have to deduct that its coaching?

Thoughts?

My thought?

Your thought is reasonable and correct.

Have to agree at this point.

Watching this team tonight, anything more than 15 wins would surprise me. The trend is in place. Only a monumental effort and change of heart by this team will change that. This is hard to watch.

Stokes is a joke

Did you hear the ESPNU announcers...they even called him out when the ball rolled out of his hands because the tall white boy on NCState was tangling with him underneath the basket. Happened twice and the announcer goes "what..is Stokes not strong enough to rip it away from that guy?" lmao

Believe it or not, there are other coaches that could be successful at UT.

The problem with that is we know Pearl would/will be successful at UT.
You honestly can't say "other coaches will be", at this point your just making a guess.

UT doesn't need anymore guesses!

Our coach is putrid. Really and truly we need to make a change, there is just no excuse for this display tonight. He really needs to go this team reflects the coach no passion.

Putrid? Yeah.....putrid>>>atrocious IMO. I'll allow it.

Hmmm brings up an intriguing question. I know the sentiment is Bruce cant come back but Id be ok with Tony Jones if we could get away with that. Bruce would tutor him for sure.

Talk about hiring a bargain bin coach. That would be the worst thing to ever happen to UT basketball.

I have maintained that no way could you bring Pearl back. However, at this point who cares? After Haith, the Cam Newton crap, Shapiro etc....Do we care? I don't!! Obviously I understand that it won't happen but NCAA fears should NOT be the reason.
