you can't keep working and go to school

i bet. i'm sitting at work right now, about to prep for a noon practice on Thanksgiving Day. I love athletic training, but something has to give. at one point earlier this fall i worked 52 straight days and most of those are 10-12 hour day. i'm not one to ever complain or to shy away from hard work, but i was asked the other day what i did for fun and i couldn't find an answer because i really don't have the time to have fun lol.

anyways, my mom and dad think i should go back to nursing/pa/med school, and they are probably correct, but i'm 99% certain i wanna get my masters in public health/admin and my doctorate in housewife and babymaker.

most of my days are 8:30/9 am to anywhere from 8-11 pm. i get excited to go home at 7 and 5 pm is a rare (meaning in the last 3 months, maybe 5 times) treat.

good luck, if you can afford it, nothing wrong with concentrating on school

BS in business administration...I am an operations manager for APX Alarm and I travel all around the US throughout the year...Love my job and wouldn't change a thing about my degree choice.

Don't Feel sorry for me. I chose it. I wish it was different as it is a great and rewarding profession, but it's hard to find a balance between life n work. I'll find a new job n work while I go back, but it's just time to move on.

Didn't mean it that way Kat. I would just hate those hours and they sound like hours I had in the military.

Thats pretty cool, I was always wanted to train on a collegiate level, but I got started a little late in the game.
I recieved my degree in Marketing, and started out working for Red Bull doing marketing events, and area coordination. Then went on to work for a marketing firm setting up advertising campaigns. Lost my job a year and half ago when the economy tanked, and immediately got ACE and AFPA certified for personal training. I quickly realized I wish I would have been doing this all along!!
Ironically, I was contacted 2 weeks ago by a beer distributor I use to do some work in regards to a sales job that I accepted...so now, I get to sell Miller Lite, and personal train!! Somewhat of a conflict of interest, but ya gotta do what ya gotta do.

I have an uncle, in KY actually, that is in health care admin, he's actually in charge of about 30 or 40 hospitals I think.
Sounds like your a "handson" type person, I would look into PA (have another uncle that is a PA and loves it). He played D1 football and also does a lot of athletic events as well. Or, I would look into physical therapy. Good luck with whatever you decide!!

I am a Collection's Manager at a regional bank - and a radio DJ/football announcer on the side.

I started out at K-Mart when I was 15 in 95 and worked there for 4 years.

Graduated college 03 with a degree in Elementary Education. Graduated again in 08 with a BS in Organizational Management. Pursuing Master's degree in Organizational Management & Adult Education/Training now and will graduate (hopefully) next fall.

Kind of fell into the radio job 10 years ago as I was still in school and needed some extra money and just never quit doing that.

Started in banking as a teller in 00, went to Assistant Collection's Manager, and then on to Collection's Manager eventually.

The check is in the mail.

Sport Management degree from UT. Worked in media relations for UT and in the NFL for a while. Took skills and joined a PR practice. Now I am a senior executive for a public relations firm.

Also, my wife is a stay-at-home mom. Her degree is in meteorology from FSU. I agree with the others and wouldn't change a thing.

Worked as a crew leader for a conservation group which hosted international volunteers for a year and a half. Was hired as an emergency hire for the Grand Canyon National Park Service and Lake Tahoe Forest Service as a trail laborer (g-3). Starting work in Jan. with a conservation corps based out of TX for a program called Trails Across Texas. Looking and patiently waiting for permament placement with the National Park Service (preferably as a stone mason). No degree. Started after I graduated high school.

I work at a safety and enviromental service office as a student worker. I'm going for a degree in accounting, I am a junior now, and wanting to graduate next summer.
