Was so upset when this news came in that I rented a White Bronco and drove all up and down the North Carolina coast trying to make sense of it. Then I amazingly found my other glove and all was well with the world.

There is no way in hell Florida would ever hire Kiffin to be the HC. Even if he wasn't completely tainted, which he is, that entire fanbase hates him almost as badly as we do. It will never happen.

He may get another HC assignment somewhere, but it won't be a major program. I think he is far more likely to return to the NFL as an OC.

I remember the day he bolted for the head coaching job at USCw. Remember it well. I also remember the day back in early 2014 that he was hired by that old man at bammer. And that confirmed that grandpa $aban had officially lost his mind! $aban will be fired within the next 2-3 years, book it. Horrible team this past season. Even worse team next season. They will be lucky to win 5 games.

I knew as soon at Pete Caroll started talks with the Seahawks that we were in danger of losing Kiffin. When I saw the "guys its true" thread on VQ, I was not surprised.

Driving through 'Nooga. Tuned in to sport talk on 102.3 that day for certain. He will screw the bammers...count on it.

I could have took it a little better had he left right after our season, but that slime ball left a week before signing day. UT could have recovered fine but the timing was a stab in the back. He even tried to take our recruits during the transition and most of the coaches. That makes him scum. He got exactly what he deserved. What irked me the most was that tenn gave him a chance to revive his coaching career , because at the time he was damaged goods coming from the raider fiasco, and he spit in our faces not even a year later. He will always be like Frodo in the Godfather movie to me. Frodo Kiffen is dead to me ! Alabama got an OC that has no character. Great for them. I do know that people don't do well in football without character as a rule.

I was in my dorm room and I heard screaming outside. I didn't see what it was until the local news interrupted the program I was watching to say that Kiffin had left. I called my dad who was celebrating (he HATED Kiffin) and then spent the rest of the night figuring out what it meant for the program.

I remember going to the baskettball game immediately afterwards, that was a fun game since we were all together like that.

But I have to say I'm doubly glad Kiffin left, not just because I'm certain we'd be worse off then we are now but because before he left I only had a passing interest in football. When he left and I started thinking about what it meant to the next season, I started digging in deep and next thing I knew I was hooked, following recruits, studying the plays and practice videos... my dad didn't realize it till the next season when we were watching the game and I pointed out one of the freshman and said where he was from and what position he played. My daddy was so proud! LOL
