Have you heard his post game comments from last night? They explain why some of us are excited to see him graduate and why we'll never win a NCAA Championship (or reach the FF) under Bruce Pearls discipline. Sad waste of talent....

He basically was an open book. He made excuse after excuse for why they didn't play well last night, primarily centering around the fact that it was senior night and basically they, the seniors were going to do what they wanted because it was their last game. Quote of the interview.... About Bruce Pearl being upset with their performance...."Oh, that's just coach being coach, he was upset but it was our senior night and we just wanted to have fun..."

The disturbing part was when he explained that they let Arky have some layups and baskets just so they could get the ball back for more scoring oppritunities.

I'd like for some of the Prince detractors to please tell me how many games Prince has lost for us in his time here because honestly, I've not been able to think of a single game where I could point to him as being the reason we lost.

If you're not bashing Bruce or one of his players, you're not cool. I hate it when we win 10+ games in the conference for five straight years. Man, I'm getting sick of sell out crowds. What Bruce has done to our program is just terrible.

So that's how we determine how good a player is, if they've lost games for us? Wow, you're reaching man.

Prince is a great player and he's probably the reason why we beat Memphis in 08 and Kentucky last week BUT he's also going to be the reason this team won't reach its full potential especially with him and whoever else on the team playing hard when they want to.

You are quite possibly the biggest DB in internet message board history.

So glad to see you're actually adding substance to this thread.

I don't blame you, I might do the same if I had absolutely no educated counter argument besides, "you're dumb..."

How are these working out for ya?

Prince drives me just as bonkers as anyone else here with some of his on the court decisions.

But that's also a hard reach to say he is the reason we won't reach potential when you can only names he was the reason they won and won't (or can't) answer my question, especially when all season long he's had a tendency to show up when it was most needed.

not the point of this thread.

BUT, by your other statements...

...then you must also love it when Tennessee loses earlier in the NCAA tournament then they should, correct?

Then what is the point of your thread? Actually, don't bother answering, because I won't be back on it.

Happy bashing.

There's only ONE point to this thread and I posted a picture of it above.

The reason why they won't reach their full potential or why they've lost games this year or in the past, that they should have won, isn't because of Prince's mindset alone, but more the collective mindset of the players in leadership positions within the team.

Example, the loss at USC this year, was there one or a few moments in that game where it was obvious that it was Princes fault we lost??? No, of course not, but when you have a few players that thought USC wasn't very good and thought it was an easy win and play according, just like they did last night against Arkansas, you get what happened, an embarrassing loss. Luckily in the case of Arkansas, it was limited to just an embarrassing display in front of a packed TBA instead of a bad loss which could have easily cost them a seed in the tournament.

I would be a lot angrier if we had lost. I refuse to believe that this is their mindset in big games.

So why are you singling Prince out when everything you said relates to the team and not him personally? I don't see how it can be his fault and why you will be happy when he's gone when it's a collective effort.

So we're now letting our players determine what is and isnt a "big" game?

So you're saying they'll start playing good in the dance once they get to the second game or second weekend?

That's how 13 seeds oupset 4 seeds, or 15 seeds play with 2 seeds COUGH ::American:: COUGH ::Winthrop::

We won. I still don't understand why you are upset. Prince is a great player. He is our best defender. You may not miss him but you are definitely in the minority. It also sounds like this was the mindset for everybody on the team. Why are you not upset at Chism or Maze? I'm tired of these "fans" that find something to complain about after every game. Get over yourself.

Because he's the one who's bold enough to actually admit this stuff, so it would only imply he's the worst at it. And if there's one player who the MOST inconsistent, it's him. Playing great one game and then playing a wash game the next.
