This. JP may make his share of mistakes, and he isn't an elite player. But he is not a terrible player by any stretch.

Thanks for your support. Unfortunately, I edited that post b/c I thought I'd get harassed for it. Just goes to show....

We'd make the tournament without JP IMO, Tatum is ready to explode and he doesnt make half the bonehead plays JP does.

I wish I could think of a bonehead play Tatum made... I vaguely recall one that involved weed, alcohol, & guns in a rental car. Yep, I would rather rely on that guy.

Yea no way should he have stepped up to be the designated driver. I take it you would have rather an intoxicated player drive and what, claim the life of an innocent person(s)? Wow, good thinking...

When did the report ever say anything about intoxicated passengers?

You're making stuff up. Open container does not mean drunk. More, Tatum was the one charged with the open container.

Please, continue to make your case for clueless poster of the decade.

Yes, because he was the driver and no one else claimed it. He was the DD and I applaud him for that unlike the poster I quoted a in my previous post who question Tatums worth because of the jan 1st innocent.

I can handle moronic posts, but you believing this gets you a spot next to big orange bo on the ignore list.

I hate on him when he loses focus. Tone it down, and he's good for some quick offense which this team has to have.

OH I'm all tore up about that... You probably thought we'd never make the tournament without Smith too...

Why don't you comment on the OP.... JP's comments, convenient how you Princeites forget/avoid the issue at hand... I guess ignorance is bliss.

You've sold me. PearlÂ’s a great coach with no short comings. He runs a tight ship and we should be happy with simply making it to the NCAA's even if we're out early with talent that should have allowed them to last another game or so... my bad.

You will be in misery for a long time. Pearl will be Tenn. coach for as long as He wants to be.

There's a reason people were asking for a link to what Prince said - no one freaking cared!

It didn't make a difference to anyone but you.

I listened to the replay of the interview on utsports.com. its not nearly as bad as the OP is trying to make it out to be.

No, it really isn't. I understand that Prince can be frustrating at times since he's so up and down. But like was mentioned earlier, he's never been the defining reason we lost a game, but he has come up HUGE and helped us win some games that we might not should have. Give him a break.

As for the argument about the bb team underachieving every year, where does that come from? They went to the sweet 16 two years in a row. One big problem for Bruce's teams is attrition. There have been so many dismissals it's getting to be a little rediculous. Considering this, I can't think of ANY of his teams that come tournament time truly deserved to make it past the round of 16. It's amazing how quickly a fanbase can get spoiled on success. We're talking about a program that can't have much more than 20 appearances in the NCAA tourney, the last 5 years included, but now, just getting there five years in a row isn't nearly enough. Maybe you'd rather just go back to the Wade Houston days so at least you would know what you were getting coming into a season, a crappy basketball team.

I'll be glad when he's gone. He's freaking annoying.

Agreed #1fan is very annoying, can't wait until he's gone. Prince on the other hand is playing very well now and has become a leader for this team. He will be missed next year.

Wow, Prince had 16 pts (leading scorer), 6 rebs, and 2 assists. We do not win the game tonight without him. So unless Tatum goes for 28 (you suggested that Tatum could cover JP's slack), then we would be 22-8. Instead we are 23-7, we went 4-1 over the brutal last five games of our schedule and your thread is an abject failure! Great work; hopefully you'll think twice next time before you let your inner, ignorant redneck out on this board again...

We closed out the season well, and seem to be peaking at the right time, but some in our fan base just don't seem to be keeping up. So, someone needs to put them in their place when they come up with this uninformed, ignorant crap...

Have you heard his post game comments from last night? They explain why some of us are excited to see him graduate and why we'll never win a NCAA Championship (or reach the FF) under Bruce Pearls discipline. Sad waste of talent....

I dont care what the kid has said, he has played well over this stretch and we'd not be where we are without him.
