Where are the rest of Romney's Tax returns ?

... and whether he releases tax returns won't change the ObamaCampaign's tact of distracting from the economy and trying to paint Romney as an evil, rich guy.

If I were Romney my response would be:
"Obama is obsessed with my taxes...when he should be spending his time looking for jobs he promised would be there"...."which is more important to the welfare of this great nation?"

Right. The message won't change despite what his tax returns say. They'll just find more stuff to be dishonest about

People have short attention spans. Something trivial like this will die out eventually

I think Team Obama will keep hammering this issue and not let it die out.

Romney is in a bad spot on this.
Dems and GOP calling for them to be released.

He has said firmly that he has released all that he is going to release.
If he is pressured into releasing more, Team Obama will say this is another flip flop by Romney.

If he don't release he is hiding something.

If he does release the returns will be picked apart and there will some things that Team Obama will find to use against him. I am not saying anything illegal.

This has turned into a lose lose for Romney.
He should go ahead and release some, get it out of the way. Take whatever hit there is to take now and move onto the important issues.

So far his campaign has done a terrible job handing this.

They will try. But it will only go so far

Now Ron Paul, Rick Perry, and editorial board of the conservative National Review all say he needs to release more returns.

The drip drip on this is turning into a full on downpour. The more he waits on it, the more it looks like there's something really bad in there. Maybe an audit or some kind of easily indicted use of a tax shelter.

I suppose he could be playing possum. Let the crescendo build then release them and have it just be more of the same as what he already put out. Take wind out of Obama's sails. If so, well played sir.

But as is, it is really starting to look like there is something so bad in there that in their view it threatens his campaign's survivability.

how about "they looked a lot better preceding 2009?"

One-Third of Obama

During the time that President Obama has been in office, he has earned some $2,711,340 from foreign sources. That’s 30.1 percent of Obama’s total income during that time. During that period, Obama forked over $87,429 to foreign countries. Most of that cash comes from book sales. That’s an inordinately large amount of money coming from overseas – far more than the typical American, certainly. And the question becomes whether President Obama is outsourcing his book sales. After all, why not pay American tax rates on that income? Why not ship from the United States, rather than printing abroad?

Ok, found it on youtube.

Yeah, there's no real reason to have included that particular news clip other than to put the words Romney, tax records, and felon on the screen at the same time.

But I do agree with the message of the ad, which is that Romney is clearly hiding something he knows would be so distasteful, legal as it might be, to the voters that its better to take the heat over it than release the records. I do think they should make it a mainstay of the campaign and bring it up whenever they have the chance.

I think a mainstay of Obama's campaign should be the economy, and I think he should bring it up at least once between now and the election. Hasn't happened yet, but I'm sure it will.
