I figured that we would be infested by now. I thought they would be flocking here to tell us how they were going to prove a point that the SEC ain't all that. Anyway have the networks made a decision as to when the game will start and which network yet?

I don't think they care, honestly. They don't give us a chance, so why bother?

We've had quite a few who have registered. Some have already provided good information on the Sooners and the game day experience in Norman.

One was banned after a lame wife/sister quip. If you're going to join an opponents message board just to be an ass, at least bring some good material.

If I lived in Texas' hat I would be far too busy drinking drain cleaner to post on a rival board.

It looks like the weather will be fantastic. Usually, these early Sept. games on the south plains can be brutally hot. We opened with North Carolina early in Stoops' career here and it was 106 @ the 6:00pm kick.

The Alabama game a few years ago was a day game & it was extremely hot.

I think OU fans are extremely excited about this game but more for the fact that Tennessee is a legacy program with a lot of great history that has never appeared on Owen Field. There will be those who will want to make this out to be an SEC thing but generally, we get hyped when top drawer programs visit Norman.

The only thing that I expect will be a disappointment will be The Pride of Oklahoma. Our band has won the Sudler Cup. Our pre-game has been voted #3 in the nation behind Michigan & TOSU but two years ago, we hired a new band director and his hiring was a purely political move backed by a prominent school booster. In now his 2nd season directing The Pride, he has succeeded turning our band into the equivalent of a decent H.S. band.

I join all Sooners in welcoming you to the south plains. I am looking forward to Knoxville in 2015.

Casual okie fan. Great grandad was from there and played football. We spent a lot of time out there with family. Haven't been a huge fan and everyone assumes it is bandwagoning but oh well. I hope spooners do good but in the end hope the vols can come up with the win.

Games 7pm Central and kickoff is at 7:14 according to OU's official Twitter. As for everything else you posted, you're 100% correct. Our band sucks.

As for the weather, highs that day are supposed to be lower 70's with a light wind and sunshine. Lows will be 57 degrees.

As for the OP on networks, figured you knew already but it's on ABC. It's the national game of the week.

I worked on a contract just west of OKC, near Norman, and the people I worked with said the area was worse than Iraq.

Laying the wood down on Tenn wont prove anything in regard to the sec not being all that. Need to beat the top tier of the sec and give them the black eye instead.

Glad to have you guys here on our board. Welcome to VN. While there are always a few embarrassing jackleg fans who simply weren't "raised right", I sincerely hope youfind our fans kind and respectful. We have certainly got a tough task ahead going into Norman this weekend, and i look forward to a good game.

If we weren't so seemingly overmatched in the trenches, i would expect us to win in a close game. With the inexperienced kids we are relying on, logic says depth and maturity should have your Sooners pulling away late. i think those that see us getting demolished by 28pts+ are foolish based on our WR talent alone. I am sure however that Coleman will manage to get burned on at least 1 long touchdown....he always does. Of course he was the one who got torched deep vs. USU if you are looking for an example of his coverage skills at corner...ouch.

Who are the gamebreakers on offense and defense for your squad? What would be your biggest concern for this ballgame or the rest of the season? Glad to have your perspective and hope you guys make it down to Neyland next season.

I'm excited to make the drive up from Houston. Can someone link a thread or give some pointers on visiting Norman for gameday??
