Im excited about the game for a few reasons. One because we have the opportunity to pull off an upset which is a huge task but it can happen and number two is the fact that OK's Fans seem like their not gonna be complete pricks like UGA's fans. A win would be huge and really push us into the season but I'm more concerned with our SEC schedule. This weeks game will really be beneficial to our young team whether we win or lose

It can happen if 97% of their 3 deep on Defense get food poising the night before the game. Other than that, our O line will be punished all night and we are lucky to score 19 points.

I know that's not popular thinking but it's the truth. There is no fixing this O line this year. You get 6 wins if lucky and keep recruiting the position at a high level.

I agree but hey let me dream till Saturday. On a side note if butch has them fired up like we were against Utah state we could stay with them and give ourselves a chance

You win the chance to read the most entertaining fan base in sports, and should likely find strange and previously unknown psychological specimens of insanity, narcissism and delusion. I recommend getting comfy and keep reading through the season, the entire season arc makes it worthwhile.....I only wish you had been here fro Gruden.

I'm only here to discuss game day info. Just joined to put some insight on the tailgate thread.

But I see many people talking about the 88-5 record at home. Impressive, but we are 16-3 since the beginning of 2011. One home loss in 2011, 2 in 2012.

Soooo...

Sooner oline is experienced and average height/weight is better than the Dallas Cowboys. Which is less impressive the more Jerruh runs that franchise into the ground.

Run game will be a major deciding factor. How is the Vol front seven this year?

Yes. The right to get off of our board. Someone starts a thread basically begging OU fans to come on here? Good grief. We already have enough toothless UF, UGA, LSU, ARK, Bama and OU trolls on here. We don't need anymore.

Fair enough evaluation. There is this idea that OU has a lot of experience, but that's really only in the trenches (which is important). The rest of the skill players are mostly freshmen and sophmores who are just really good. But getting owned in the trenches will make the other positions look even better.

I dont think WR talent alone would be the reason why you dont get blown out. Ttech had crabtree when they got blown out 65-21. OU's strength has been against the pass, leading a pass happy big 12 in pass D for the past couple years. So that ought to make for an interesting side story.

For OU on offense your biggest concern might be the run game. With massive and a deep Oline and 3 big strong and fast running backs, i wouldnt be surprised to see them put 230+ on the ground. Blake Bell man, that ex qb we are only discovering what impact he'll have. I bet he scores a td. and of course shepherd, you'll hear his name a lot. On defense, its the front 7 hands down. they are fast, they are everywhere, and they're pretty big. Watching them play this year will be a real treat. If your receivers are good enough to make life hard on OU's cbs then i'll be impressed . Big 12 passes a lot so I am sure they'll be up for the challenge.

With the right qb, our receivers could make anyone have a bad day. Unfortunately, Worley isn't likely to utilize them to the fullest.

Well, let's say you're in 'Nam and your CO tells you (an FNG) that he wants you to lead your squad into the A Shau Valley(in which they are all FNGs). It's like that.

Casual okie fan. Great grandad was from there and played football. We spent a lot of time out there with family. Haven't been a huge fan and everyone assumes it is bandwagoning but oh well. I hope spooners do good but in the end hope the vols can come up with the win.

Oklahoma is in Russia?

I will say, that of all the OOC teams we have played in recent memory, Okie fans have been the most decent on these boards.

I'm guessing 48-14...even tho I'll be there pulling for a win. I'll agree that the OU posters have been the classiest we've seen in a while.
