I'll know more after the Florida game. Got caught in too many smoke and mirrors over the past three or so years.

I don't see anything the same. Much less "exactly" the same. lol

You are perfectly entitled to your opinion but when I met both Dooley and Jones at alumni functions the speeches were EXACTLY identical. I live in Birmingham so as far as day to day operations my info is second hand and what I hear is encouraging, but when I go to Eugene I will see for myself if things are going in the right direction.

The BOT and chancellor need to be all in first and there is where the problem lies IMO.

The rah rah sheepism bit is rather stale.

I am 102% all in. Butch has done everything right so far. I could care less about tempering my expectations. I am going to enjoy every moment of this ride until he proves me wrong!

If people really believe what they're shoveling, that Dooley improved the roster depth of the program, there's no reason we can't have a season similar to 2009. We almost beat 14-0 Bama that year. We're (hopefully) in the hands of a competent coach now, there's really no telling how far competency at the helm can take us. The players are buying in and that's a great sign.

I'm hopeful, but waiting to see some tangible evidence this program will get back to competing at the top of the SEC. I was happy with the Jones hire based on his record. I wasn't happy with assistant hirings. I wasn't happy with their inability to sign a quality first class. I've been happy with the 2014 commitments so far, but it's a long time until signing day.

To those who are all in based on nothing, that's cool. But stop acting like everyone should be or (even more silly) like you have an effect on our team's performance or our coach's recruiting.

To be honest, I’ve gone from “Oh crap” when the hire was announced to “He might just be the answer” now.

I like the team building and he says the right thing, but the true test will be to see if the team plays to the end for him and that they don’t lay down on him like they did on Dooley.

We won’t be able to see the team reaction until after we get in to the SEC action next season.

Butch says this is his dream job. He loves UT, wants to be here, and I think he will do everything in his power to turn this program around.

No one wants to fail.

I`m taking a wait and see attitude. Will give Butch Jones, staff and players my full support as long as I can.

If I see progress every year, i`ll be happy.

Still trying to maintain a sense of Humor after the last 7-8 years. I'm hoping by 2016 that UT has returned to being competitive in the SEC, but my patience is begining to run very thin....I hate these Curses!

I love the passion and excitement that he brings back to the program. I hope we can rally behind him and give these guys a chance.

I'm all in with what I've seen to this point Volly! No missteps from CBJ so far, pushing all the right buttons:

1. Early recruiting - legacies, top 6 to date, in on a ton of top national players (yes I know its early haters)
2. Embracing of Vol tradition (right down to the former Vol great jerseys hanging up in lockers for recruits to see)
3. Embracing of and inviting former players to be a part of the program going forward - some say "this is what he's supposed to do". Maybe. But given what kiffin and dooley did, I call it a stroke of genius.
4. Recruiting repair - mending broken relationships with high school coaches in and around the state of tennessee
5. Family atmosphere - great feedback from player parents about how CBJ and staff treated them last weekend, etc.
6. Reinstallment of state recruiting parties after NSD.
7. Promoting the program - See #6, media accessibility, Bristol NASCAR race, etc.
