Where is Alexa headed? [Alexa Middleton leaving team]

That would've given her a year and a half eligibility right as she could've played Jan of 2018 and the 2018-2019 correct?
If you are going to switch schools you still need to think of getting a degree. I bet she is very near getting her degree at UT a few glasses at most. She will probably finish them on line or this semester. 3 yrs plus summer is done a lot by athletes. I don't think the media has investigated anything more than she is finishing her junior year and transferring. I bet she gets a UT degree and starts grad school where ever she goes. Most universities make you complete 2 years at there university to get a degree on undergraduate level

I'm not a Holly fan, but I don't see how anyone can be dogging Holly for transfers -- especially one that is not a key player -- and Middleton is NOT a key player for us, so we can stop this fairy tale that she somehow is.

Other teams are getting bitten hard by the transfer bug by not only multiple transfers but transfers of key players. Holly, for all her weaknesses, seems to be far from "running players off".
On what world is your top 3 point shooter, starter, 6th player, not a key player?

There is no MIGHT about it.

Players know who can play and who cannot! And in locker rooms there is always people talking about other players.... mostly in whispers!!!

But sometimes players get wind of who said what and feelings get hurt!

Not saying this is the answer ! But I am just saying!😈

she wasn't gonna be a key player next year and she knew it. I rooted hard for her because I like her but she wasn't gonna get many minutes next year and that's that. I still say she can find a team where she can make a huge contribution and I hope she does

Dont bash me for asking. But is there any chatter of locker room chemistry with Middleton and another player? I for one have always been hard on Middleton because i thought she dribbled to dang much. She always tried to play like a speedier more athletic player than she is. But she always seemed to give her all for the Lady Vols. Something must be going on that we as fans will never know. Next year has the potential to be a special year. Why jump ship now?
I have heard the same. Don't know if it's a fact but I think there is something to it. I still find it hard to believe someone would give up on their final year to be a Lady Vol and go elsewhere. There are connections that are made that will help you out later in life and the real world. Good luck to her wherever she lands.

She wasn't going to play much with cooper returning and the incoming freshmen. I'm sure she doesn't want to sit on the bench for her senior season so she made the right decision.

"Better" doesn't get you squat if you can't score, and score efficiently. We can't. UConn led the nation in shooting percentage--with Baylor and ND also in the top 5. UT wasn't in the top 50. UConn led the nation in team 3-point FG percent @ 41.5 percent. We weren't in the top 50. Middleton had value to this team as a 3-PT shooter--39 percent. That is a good number. Opponents will zone us again--stupid if they don't--and you need to make 3s against a zone. Who's going to do it, besides Nared? (Oh, since I'm tossing out some stats: UConn also led the nation in team Assist/Turnover ratio. And UT, drum roll, was again not in the Top 50)
why all the UConn stats? I'm sorry but IMO I think you will eat "huskie" for all your negativity on Tea.

IMO it is really dirty of Holly to remain as the coach knowing good and well she's in over her head. And I believe Alexa has had enough of CHW being clueless.

Alexa had a choice to stay on the team with Holly or transfer anywhere else to play the game that she enjoys. Even though Tennessee was her dream school. Unfortunately Holly made it a nightmare, senior to be or not Alexa decided to leave.

Thanks a lot Holly!!!!:banghead2:
Or maybe she was smarter than you and knows her limitations.

Well, she can give dat kind of lie to someone who never played basketball in college not me. All of a sudden best class are coming in she realized that Holly can't coach or she needed a championship team or she wanted to play far from home. Rubbish! I always love her game and wish her the best, but don't lie to me..

I can assure you there's no lie here. I'm sure there's some measure of political correctness in not spelling out the details of the reason. That's just class & taking the high road.

Which is classic Alexa. She is a fantastic young woman. Her making the decision to leave really makes me sad because I know how much she loves Tennessee. I wish her so much success wherever she goes...will always be rooting for her.

who is in this Basketball world can actually compare Tea with Alexa reallyy??

They are different types of players with different skill sets and personalities. Both have strengths and weaknesses. AM is a natural 2. She had nothing to fear from TC or a freshman.

She's an experienced upper classman who had the best 3pt shooting on the team. Her primary "weakness" was lateral movement on D, which she dramatically improved by year-end. She also was not confident to shoot, but I think that was highly influenced by the offense message (get it inside). Very little screening action was ran for Alexa.

Personally, I thought she would thrive this year at the 2 with better PG play.

And you couldn't have asked for a better teammate or representative of the program.

Come on, like Holly or not, you know that ain't even true.

You've been guled:crazy::crazy::crazy:!

Don't worry, T_V and I keep a box of salt handy; you're welcome to some:):):).

But, as T_V said, "Gule, don't be nasty😂." (Equivalent to wishful thinking.)

I said Holly has never had a transfer (which a poster reminded me of Tucker) ... Now Alexa. But man... Louisville lost 3 in the same year... Baylor lost what 3 or 4? And duke had multiple playes leave... However, Duke and Baylor each had a player leave due to medical issues but still dang!

Wouldn't exactly call Tucker a transfer (as a negative against the coach). I think it was a stellar work of coaching and being a good decent person that she ever made it to TN. Tucker never got over the emotional side of being chained up & beaten!

She was injured and couldn't play. Think also she had a boyfriend at TN that transferred out, so she had to get back close to home for support.

Playing time playing time she knows it would have been hard to beat cooper Westbrook and Hayes meme is athletic and can play defense and if she works more on her shot then she would be good

No, no. She's not competing as a point guard. That was just a fill-in role due to injury. She would've played as much or more than ever. Even if your theory were true, no one in her senior shoes leaves their dream program because of 10 minutes less per game. She would've left 2 years ago.

Anyway, guess her reasons are her's. I just want folks to realize she told the truth in the media and that she has always been a dedicated LV.

Your post was called lazy, but I thought it was perfect in light of your previous replies.

Keep up the good work! Emoji and acronym game 💪AF. 🙊😂

Thanks, buddy. I try not to engage but sometimes I just can't stop myself. And I'm working on not cussing! (Hard for me!) LOL I appreciate you!
