This might be a stupid question. During these recruiting trips, are all of the coaches together or does each coach go on a different trip?

Depends on the recruit and if they are committed or not. If they are committed, most of the time it's just one coach. If not, then they send in the house.

Different coaches are assigned different areas/recruits. There are occasions where you may see the offensive staff or the defensive staff go to see a recruit, but it's rare.

Oh, duh. Jordan Poole. I actually have a unique perspective on him because I've been watching nearly all of his home games since he was on JV with my roommate's younger brother. He's on the team with Jordan so I'll likely have some inside info to share.

Buford could compete with anybody in the state, at any classification. You're insane if you think otherwise. This whole North GA is weak thing is overplayed and many times just not true. Unless I've just completely missed what you were trying to say...

Cody Getz? Yeah he was awesome. I went to the FB game. Connor Shaw looked good, Cairo keyed on Drummond the whole time, Shaw had a couple good plays but just couldn't get them a score when they needed it. Props to Cairo, the went wire to wire this year. Their qb crazy fast.

Didn't know where to put this...lost Herbert to UF, Meeks to CU, and Stokes is definately looking at several other schools...I can see turning away Petty, but losing these guys is not by design. I thought Kiffin was supposed to be the recruiting equivalent of a "GOD"?? If Stokes is "looking", then obviously Kiffin couldn't close the deal, much like he couldn't close the deal with Giles. I am not impressed...anyone can fly all over the place and have a nonstop recruiting motor, but where are the results?!

It sucks, but you'd be crazy to think we weren't gonna lose recruits when switching to a new coach.

Next year will probably be the necessary down year (though the schedule is not incredibly difficult so he may actually go to a bowl game with a 7 or 8 win record).

The guy has been here two weeks. Just because we haven't heard about him contacting a particular recruit (or whatever else we hear) doesn't necessarily make it true. If these kids didn't want to play for UT, fine, let them go elsewhere.

But it's crazy to judge Kiffin on only 2 weeks of recruiting. He hasn't even coached a game yet. Give him AT LEAST until after next year so you can start to judge his coaching and recruiting better - and even then it'd be better to give him a few years so that the team is entirely his.

also Bruce Pearl couldn't close the deal on Tyler Smith or Jamont Gordon. I don't think anybody is going to doubt Bruce's ability to recruit. These kids were extremely close with the old staff.
