I have not read the whole thread. So forgive me if this has already been said.


Herbert said he left because Adkins was not guaranteed a job next year. So you are complaining that we did not retain Adkins? Surely not...

All QB's say that about their QB coach. As for the head coach comment of course he would say that when he is also the assistant coach.

Sarkisian deserves Washington... Sark didn't even go after the HC job with the Raiders after he learned Kiffin wanted it. He decided to take Kiffin's leftovers instead.

That's exactly why he's at a school like Washington instead of decent program. Did Washington even win a game the past two seasons? heck I could be the Head coach at Washington.

I find it pretty hilarious that we have a couple of Kiffin haters that are trying their best to be witty and sarcastic in their posts putting down those that believe in giving Kiffin a chance. hatvol you are not. Quit trying so hard to be.

I haven't seen to many people comment on this statement. Are we in danger of losing Stokes? This is news to me. Any truth to this?

if memory serves, Ainge said the same thing about Sanders when he was fired. Using some posters logic, we should have at least given him an interview.

It strikes me as a very similar situation as that of Jarvis Giles and Stan Drayton.

It would stand to reason that, if you let any one recruit tell you who to keep on your staff, that is the moment the wheels come off your ability to exert total control over your football program. You look like a punk to every current and future recruit, and punks are just not charismatic leaders for whom 18 year-old kids want to play.

NO RECRUIT IS WORTH THAT PRICE.

Drayton and Adkins have already showed their complete ineptitude as position coaches; if they cannot sell the Kiff or the UT program to their key recruits, their "aces in the hole", then they should be jettisoned like the deadweight they appear to be.

While that is true, Forum Rules also say:

"A little ribbing is OK, but if your posts consist of nothing but taking shots at coaches, players, teams, other posters, etc., then this is not the place for you."

There are several posters of late that bring absolutely nothing to the board but taking shots on Kiffin. If this is you, then perhaps as the rules state, "this is not the place for you".

people need to have patience! Kiffin has only had 2 weeks to recruit while other coaches have had all year! when you recruit it's about forming a relationship with the player and his family and correct me if im wrong but it's really hard to do that in 2 weeks. I think he has done an excellent job in these 2 weeks. he's already had one commit and has other top recruits looking at coming to tennessee! and he's done all of this while having a wife that is 8 months pregnant and 2 other (young)kids. i'm sure it's not easy to leave them behind for a week while he goes and recruits all over the nation

CLk's work and dedication in his first two weeks on the job has been admirable, outstanding, and worthy of the utmost appreciation from any true fan of Tennessee football.

Keep in mind there are only about three people posting all the anti-Kiffin crap here.

thanks i just joined today! i've been looking at this thing everyday for like a week and finally i just decided to join plus the (few) people on here that dont like kiffin and want to judge him after only 2 weeks really pisses me off. lol

Saban pulled in a top 15 class in 5 weeks after he was hired and I don't think his staff was complete. It will take CLK more time. He will have more of an impact next year.

Can I come to your job and see what miracles you have performed in the last two weeks?

Can I remind negavols that we were amongst the worst in the nation in production, lost almost our entire staff and competing against teams that have all been ranked #1 in the last year (uga bama uf) hmmm play for saban, richt or meyer? The guy is competing against some of cfb best. No suprise in the sec but give the guy some credit on what he's done and doing for the vols. I mean, wtf! Stop busting his balls.
