Where is this "expert recruiter"?

I would say this thread will completely change now that Monte has announced he is coming. Recruiting should really pick up now...

What will change? It's basically a thread in which 5150 and Posivol bash Kiffin without any support while a host of other posters show the ignorance in the Kiffin-bashers' posts. That won't change.

His time at USC has already passed. Future events cannot alter the past. Time, meaning the future, will tell us nothing about Kiffin's role at USC.
nice try, but i have a feeling he will have zero idea of what you are getting at here.

i disagree,i think it will tell us whether:

a.hes a great recruiter or recruits bought in to usc

b.hes a great coach or he was riding coat tails.

There definitely is something more to it. My guess is jealousy over Lane's hot wife or success at a young age. 5150 has some legitimate concerns but his personal bias is getting in the way of valid points.

then we should have just hired you for 500 a week :eek:lol:

It take more than 500 just to put up with some of goofy stuff said on this board.
By the way I would coach the Vols for Free!!:hi:

What is your reason for posting? Is your goal that everyone will be dazzled by your brilliance and come to your way of thinking. That everyone will see the hire as a total failure. That everyone will be totally depressed by the prospects of watching the next few years of UT football.

Or are you just a "Troll"?

True... and if he did, he'd either distort it or ignore it.

But that's why we're here, right, Jake? :good!:
i'm here for the entertainment value.

but it's also a social wake up call.......posivol probably voted this year..........:eek:hmy:

check out the thread on Raymond Cotton in recruiting...he just decommitted from Auburn due to Chizik

it dosnt matter how much i type, lane kiffin is our new coach and will be for at least the next 2 to 3 years.

trust me,i do know this.

im just getting a little more than a tummy ache w/ all the kiffin blind faith.

i questioned fulmers gameday play calling for years as well as retaining the proper asst coaches.

heres my offical take on the hire:

its all going to be ok,everyone said they would be willing to sh*tcan the recruiting class for a new coach.

theyre goes a potential top 5 class in exchange for lane*****kiffin, this will without a doubt go down as the worst hire in tennessee vol history.

not naming your staff immediatly is just the first of the many boneheaded misstakes this guy will make.

inexperianced, unproven, unqualified to be head coach of the tennessee vols...period!

and again, you can't validate any of it so it's worthless conjecture, just like all of the pro-Kiffin drivel that you so despise.

After the year we had this was not going to end up a top 5 class.

we were already rated 7th and most had us pegged to end up inside the top 5..but heil nobody wants to hear that..just more mindless drivel from a no nothing :p

Link? Source? how about current coaches.......like, um, Pete Carroll?

if you keep saying it long enough, i guess you will believe anything you keep telling yourself......

thank you Stan Drayton.

Agreed HB.

Jake, I'm not trying to be argumentative here and this is really more of an observation than anything else.

Kiffin was honest with Boyd about him not fitting into his system and everyone applauded him for it when Boyd pulled his commitment. Drayton does basically the thing in letting this kid Giles know that he isn't sure about his (Draytons) future with the program and all of a sudden he is sabotaging recruiting?

I don't get it. On one hand everyone is patting Kiffin on the back for being "honest" with Boyd and on the other Drayton is being accused of being a trader for following his potential boss's lead in being honest with one of his recruits??????

It has been suggested that Drayton could have manipulated the situation in order to keep the commitment. Couldn't Kiffin have done the same?

How is one more wrong than the other?

Now, I don't know the whole story behind the Giles/Drayton deal so my perception may not be right. But from what I have read in the media that is how it went.

there's a huge difference in that Drayton had no idea what the new system might be when making his comments.
