Where is this "expert recruiter"?

Sorry you keep getting left out on everyone's list of Kiffin-bashers. It must hurt to post drivel of similar quality to PosiVol's and 5150's and still not get recognized for it.

Btw, you guys could form a He-Man-Kiffin-Haters group so as to not be overlooked.

lol... I really don't hate him... especially since he got his dad up here.. that was worth the hire right there alone.. I really think he will do a good job..

Yeah... I think some consider you a salvageable Vols fan, so that's why you keep getting left off the list.:p

Posi and 5150 are prolly just trolls.

Has anyone tested their basic knowledge of Vols football history yet to confirm they know anything at all about UT football?

My pleasure :hi:

It was buried on page 3 of a search, most people wouldn't go back that far, I know I usually don't...

Maybe on another day but PosiVol and 5150 have helped me past the limitations of my patience today. It's actually even more gratifying to see your post put him in his place. I have no problem with people not liking the Kiffin hire or criticizing it but this guy has made it his personal crusade to spread a misinformed, biased opinion.

"Pretty much, [Drayton] told me to look at Option B," said Giles, who plans to enroll at his chosen school in January. "He didn't want me to get caught up in this mess." For Giles, Option B is either South Carolina, Clemson or Boston College, with the Gamecocks holding the edge.

Too late, Tennessee Vols and Phil Fulmer finally part ways - Andy Staples - SI.com

Again your taking the word of a 17 yr old kid that just de-commited. I doubt very seriously that Kiffin would have kept Drayton even in the short term if he had actually stated that to the kid.

Did you know that Bill Gates gathered all the newspaper owners at a conference in 1997 and told them in 10 years the internet will have them near the verge of bankruptcy? In the past 11 years newspaper subscriptions have declined, the size of the paper has declined, advertising and classifieds in print have declined and Tribune filed for bankruptcy just last week. Every newspaper in the county now has a website as do local TV stations and radio trying to compete for ad spending on their sites.

It is desperate times for people in the print business which explains some of the shock and awe editorials in an attempt to sell more print.

If you can't take the word right of the horse's mouth, then who do you believe?

Amazing.

Kiffin won't retain him. Drayton has whiffed on his opportunities to be retained. Kiffin also won't cut off his nose to spite his face. If there are recruits that Drayton can bring in while he's still here then Kiffin will make use of him. Look it up if you don't believe that Drayton told Giles to look at other options.

You have a crystal ball? Again its the word of a 17 yr old.

I still contend that Kiffin would have never retained Drayton if he had in deed made those statements to the kid.

a typical response from someone without the Cajones to say anything logical. Your response to D is laughable and proves nothing just like your idiotic answers when someone asks you questions for solid answers towards your perspective. Your approach of cheap shots at a man who has yet to coach his first game here is a true revelation of your ignorance of coaches based on age.

General Neyland - 34 when hired with no college HC experience.
Doug Dickey - 32 when hired with no college HC experience.
Urban Meyer - 37 when hired with no college HC experience
Mark Richt - 41 when hired with no college HC experience
Bob Stoops - 39 when hired with no college HC experience

Will CLK become the next coaching sensation? it is unknown. What is known is he is alot more qualified for the job then you are and for that reason alone you should show more respect whether he wins or loses. Your cheap shots on his age is ridiculous, your reference about his daddy coming is childish. My dad passed away 26 yrs ago and I would have loved to had him around for advice in my business. Do you ask your dad for advice? or are you Mr Know It All?

has nothing to do w/ his age.it does however have everything to do w/ his silver spoon.i dont think he has earned his position anywhere he has been yet, except for warming the bench during his playing days.

just out of curiosity did anyone on the above list get a shot at the big time based on (pops)

How is that so amazing? He wouldn't be the first recruit to mis-state what a recruiter told him to justify a change in decision.

Again I still have a hard time believing that Kiffin would retain him if it were true.

You continue to amaze. And that's not a compliment.

Do you seriously believe that anybody with half a brain is throwing $2 million a year at a guy because they like his Dad?

why do we care how he got where he was? We only care that he does well what we hired him to do.

You're right, every successful coach's son automatically gets a HC job. It is part of a secret contract.

(You aren't right by the way, you're simple.)

Once again you failed to answer the questions and resort to your cheap shots about his Dad. You are a typical jerk who thinks it makes you feel important taking cheap shots at someone. Why don't you take the time and investigate how many coaches were inspired by their Dad. I will make it easy for you and give you one. Bum Phillips and his son current Cowboy coach Wade Phillips. I offer facts on my answers and you sir offer garbage.

and i suppose that goes the same for reaves.....RIGHT!

he doesnt have much to work with, most prospects are already verbally commited and its hard to get players to decommit, you'll see the expert recruiter next year, just be patient.

Keep calling people idiots and see how long ya last. I'm just giving you a heads up is all. It is a free country, but the owner of this forum does have a set of rules and you play here at his or her leisure. The freedom of speech ended when you logged on here.

What's the difference between calling someone an idiot and a couple of people on here constantly bashing a guy who hasn't even had a chance to prove himself? And btw my freedom of speech (that members of my family have fought for) never ends, I don't care if i get kicked off a message board or not. I'm still gonna say what I want.
